Ancient shed = Grow haven?

We moved in about ten years ago and the previous owner left us a shed that has been slowly deteriorating at the end of the property since. I can't grow in the house and I'm concerned about outside growing in the open (Theft issues).

Here's an photo album depicting the shed:

I see a lot of spiders in the area and most likely some termite damage (check out the condition of the wood).

If needed I can take some more detailed and clear pictures.

My questions are as follows:

Can I transform this into a home for 2-5 plants? Is the condition of the shed in too bad a shape? How would I clean it up and get rid of the insect manifestation?

Thanks!

Occasionally people come over and I don't want the first thing they see to pot plants (essentially money trees). Plus if I'm gonna do something, I'm going to do it right Indoor crops come out better.

first and foremost youll need to completely empty the structure, you wont know the full extent of damage til you get to that point. if this is a project you plan on doing yourself, then youll start out by cutting out any damaged wood and then treat for pests. im not gonna do a step by step unless you want the help, but in answer to one of your questions...without even knowing the deminsions of your structure it is big enough for a grow op....of some size! im a 55 yr old exp. remodeler (amoung many other trades) and just turned my 40 yr old rotten shed into a nice work-shop. so ill help you when ever i can....peace.

I'd appreciate a step by step I'm fully commited to putting in the time to fix it up, as long as the price is under $50 (I'm kinda poor at the moment and I need to buy indoor grow gear), but physical labor isn't going to be a problem for me.

The only thing that shed is lacking is a match.... and my imagination of course...

with all due respect, the price of lumber is getting more expensive, there may be alot of useable wood either to attach new wood to or recycle for a future project, and with a little creative labor he may very well have a nice place to grow out of. bottom line is until its totally empty he just wont know. thats just the carpenter in me talking...peace

sorry, thought it was bigger than that....not worth the effort. youll need a lil more than fifty bucks to tackle that project... go to home depot and by some osb wood panels and studs and just start new.youll save money in the long run. but if you insist on using that structure then youll still need that wood i mentioned plus insulation, elect. wire, junction boxes, circuit breakers, recepticals, the lists gets bigger! ill stay tuned, peace

Assuming that I am reading your dimemsions correctly it looks like it is only 3'2" in height. What was this thing? Old pump house or dog house? This critical dimension alone would dissuade me from doing anything with this thing. A small, pre-fab building from one of the big box stores (H.depot or Lowes) would be a easier solution and far easier to get wired up properly, insulate, ventilate etc. I take that back. Looks like it currently has more than ample ventilation LOL.

It seems the general consensus is to fuck up the structure with an axe and start anew. After this is done though, and I dispose of whats left, what would be the cheapest structure to replace it with that would work proficiently?
