Maybe it's just me, but I don't see the Republican Party as Conservative. Their lips move but I can't hear what they're saying, to paraphrase the Pink Floyd song.
Big Government.
Up the deficit. Up the National Debt.
Re.... pub.... lic? It's like hearing Mr. Burns try to say the word 'recycling.' Republicans have forgotten that the first part of their party name starts with Republic.
They don't talk about freedom or liberty, or the personal responsibility that goes along with it.
Infringing on civil liberties that run counter to their dogma.
Truth be told, I'd probably shit my pants in any Republican beyond Ron Paul were to go to the mike and ask the entire body of the House if the bill under consideration, any bill, conformed to the 10th Amendment.
