Amber or Not so Amber?

Well I bought myself some Strawberry Cough to grow... It's supposed to take 8-9 weeks to be ready. I'm at week 9 or 10 (It's been just over 2 months, so i'm assuming I'm at just under 70 days) and the trichomes are still clear/milky. My brother in law (Who smokes a lot of pot and knows lots of growers) said that not all trichomes turn amber. My question is... is my baby girl ready or not? Should I leave her until she turns amber, even if it takes a few more weeks? or will it start losing a bunch of thc since i'm passing it's supposed harvesting time? If in another few weeks she hasn't turned amber, should I just harvest or still wait even longer.

The point is... does THC start to go down after the trichomes go amber? Or when it's been budding for a certain length of time, which usually just happens to be about the time they go amber?

They will change, be patient. You will start seeing some then a bunch then everywhere. Thats when Its time when 30-40% are amber, begin your flush when you see about 10% amber. It takes a couple weeks at least after they begin changing.
