Am i wrong?

I was an old school grower, got out of the whole thing for awhile and now am looking into the new LED technology. I was so accustomed to having a light for veg and a light for flower. If i used LED lights do i need to do anything different in either cycle or do i just turn it on and let the plants figure it out on their own? lol thanks guys.

You can use the same light for veg and bloom. Some people are going back to veging with HPS, so really any light can do both as long as it's not really low Kelvin or really high.

yes buy a full spectrum light and you can just turn it on and the plants will do their thing. You can use it full strength from the start only further than the plants and let the plants grow to the light without ever changing your setup.

yea I was surprised but my friend had some good success with LED's and I'm still dumb founded and jealous of his low energy bill

iv used led on two grows. the first grow was 5 silverhaze autoflowers. start to finish was a 2x 120 watt full spectrum led. for autoflowers they worked great. my second grow was i got a little different. i wanted to go hid but the power bill is so expensive. i used 1x 600 watt mh hps with adjustable balance and 2x 120 watt full spectrum led. for veg i used first 10 hours of led and the last 6 hours of mh from 50% to 100%. for flower i used 8 hours led and 4 hours hps 100%.

started with 6 seeds. grew six weeks then cloned 5 of them. having 6 plants veged for 10 weeks and 5 plants grown for 6.

these photos were 17 weeks into grow. 7 days into flower.

i believe led are great for 1 supercroped monster. but they tend to stretch plants a little because they have to be so close do be efficient. its hard to spread led over a large area. not dealing with the heat and humidity as much is good to because the led dont put off anywhere near the heat as hid. the combo has worked well for me though.
