Am I using too many lights?

I've got one plant with the following lights:

6 42watt 2700k CFL's
1 27watt 6500k CFL
1 26watt 6500k CFL
Total wattage: 305watts
Total theoretical lumens: 19,600
Strain: NL#5 x Big Bud

It's 24 days old and the plant is 10inches tall and about 16inches wide. I put it into 12/12 8 days ago and so far no signs of sex. :sad:

Is this too much light?

how big is your room i use 400 w hps and its like 45,000 lumens

It's a closet grow. It's 2ft wide, 5ft long and 8ft tall. Heats not really an issue right now.

you can never have too much light. you can have too much heat, which sometimes goes hand in hand with light

yeah but can you practically know when youve reached that limit? and he is using CFLs so he might be paying an extra buck a month, and they also dont penetrate that well so id say more is better

I remembered seeing a post about light toxicity so thats why I was wondering.. looks like i'm far from too much though judging by your responses.

ive been always been told 5-7000 per sq foot any more isnt worth it i think full sun on a clear day is like 10,000 per sq ft

never have too many lights.
just as long as you dont get hot temps due to the lights.

It's 25 days old and in its 9th day into 12/12. So far no signs of sex yet. (Although its still in its dark cycle.. I'm waiting impatiently for the lights to turn on at 7PM

)

Here's what I'm using:

It's my only plant going right now. I only had one seed left and was too impatient to wait for my new seed order.

That thing was probly from my post about light toxicity...From what this guy told me there are 3 ways to tell if your plant has it....Read what he posted on my thread...It helped me out alot....I had 2 48" 40 floros 1 23 watt cfl 1 42 watt cfl and it was wayyy too much...https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/118756-slow-growth.html

just make sure your hand doesn't burn when you put it near the plants. too much light? what? I mean toxicity CAN be an issue but not with 305watts

Yup...that was the thread where I saw Light toxicity and thought to myself, WTF? That that can happen?? and well...paranoia took over...

Yea...heats not a problem. Temps are steady in the high 70's and I have a fan keeping the heat from the lights off the plant...

No prob...I almost shit my pants when i read that....I'm disabled and i fuckin RAN up stairs and changed that shit around....My plant is looking better now and some new growth is commin in...Thank god for that guy huh,...
