Am I over watering?

Hi guys it's my first rdwc run, I have a 600w mh, with cyco nutes, my question is am I overwatering/under oxygenating? I transplanted some clones from a friend last weekend and thought they were just in a bit of shock but they haven't seemed to of picked up at all and have got worse if anything, the clones were big when I got them, I had my net pots in about an inch of rez water but now I'm thinking I'm drowning them?

I have blacked out my buckets and stopped the top feed after these photos were taken, my rez temp is 18°c and my room temp is 16-20°c

Leighbraz,
What medium were the clones in before going into DWC?
Have you seen any root growth?
Did you lower water level to below netpot?
How much aeration? (airstones)

What are you using to oxygenate the water? Pump, waterfall or whatever.

They were in coco/perlite and I haven't seen any new root growth as yet, I lowered the water level about 8 hours ago but haven't checked yet and I have 200 l/h of air going to each bucket

I just went and checked and there is a new little root poking out the bottom of one of the net pot, lol I've never been so happy to see something so small

I also only reduce it to six sites per pump and I have a waterfall back into my 55 gal Rez. It looks like your drowning your plants from the lack of o2

Also I don’t change my water but maybe 2 times a grow. My res is set to top off on its own as they drink. And I use a one part nutrient from start to finish.

Any changes to my routines must 1) makes my job as grower easier 2) makes my grow system more tolerant to variables...

...and extra O2 in a system can do both.

PS: Oh Lordhooha, may I humbly request the name of said one part nutrient (so I don't have to hunt through your posts to find it. lol I'm a maxi-bloom user)

PSS: Love your roots

I have a fish tank airpump it 2×200l/h and another air pump which is 250 l/h so and each 5gl bucket has it's own dedicated line I have another 2x200l/h pump which should turn up today or tomorrow which will give me 650l/h total in an 80l setup will this be enough?

I think one of my problems was because the clones were so advanced they had a decent root system already so when I put an inch or 2 of clay pebbles in then the roots then more clay then had the water an inch above the bottom the roots were pretty much just sitting in water and I had a top feed going that was adding to the problem?

Yes...you mentioned you were worried about that. I can't recall how you were watering them initially. Just hand watered? That's a common practice until roots grow down the nute solution.

So have they perked up? Oh, and the aeration upgrade sounds good to me.

You have to look at the lpm rating if you divide that 200 or 250 by 60 mins you 3.3lpm or 4.2lpm for the 250 those fish tank ones will end up giving you root rot. DO ( dissolved oxygen) is the number one preventive action to keep root rot at bay.
