My 90W UFO just arrived and when I turned it on I noticed 16 out of the 90 1W diodes weren't lighting up. The strange thing was that there appeared to be a pattern of sorts to the unlit ones. I contacted the company and they replied that they used 16 infrared lights in their configuration. This didn't make any sense to me. They didn't say anything about this in the info on their sight.
Am I missing something? It's heat, no? Can infrared light really be used to grow?? Or are they trying to get me to keep a defective light?
