Alternative to Mylar

i need an alternative to mylar, im doin the poster board around it with mylar

emergency blankets are not good, use panda plastic instead.

I'm guessing the guy is looking for a cheap alternative which panda plastic is not for like $3 you can get a 5 foot by 5 foot blanket they may even be bigger than that and are made of aluminum and work just fine

it may be cheap but is not good for a grow box, doesn't reflect well, keeps the box worm and may create hot spots therefore not recommended.

white paint as robert said works good as well.

Poly film (panda film) isn't that much $10 for 10' x 10' on ebay.
