already harvest! why it smells like hay

I harvested my 3 plants .. i let them hang 6 days down in a dry dark place with air flowing around and i put them in jars its been there for 5 days curing and its smelling like normal grass or hay .. its the smell going to change i open everyday a few times the jars so the humidity will empty ... willy the smell and taste change ??

More than likely, the reason that they smell as such is because when you put the bud into a jar, it was still too wet. As simple as it sounds, cures can be very tricky and will only get better with experience. Next time, the bud should feel almost crispy and ready to fall apart on the outside. Once it is at this point, then put it in a jar. The moisture tucked away in the stem will start to be pulled out and the bud will begin to dry more thoroughly. Chemical reactions will also take place at this point that will enhance the aroma.

yea before i put them in the jars it was crispy then they been in the jar and they got a little moist again its been only in jars for 6 days the minimum is 30 days??

Are you just leaving them in the jar, or are you burping them on a regular basis?

no i open the jars and take them aout for a few minutes i do this twice a day

Just keep curing, a really good cure takes months. It gets better the longer you cure, up to a point , but im not sure what that point is, cuz some of the stuff i puff on is over 18 months old.

you never dried it properley time wise(6 days???).
the jars should never get moist when curing and moisture in the jars should never appear when curing and that smell you have sounds like bud rot due to incorrect drying (they may already be rotting buds).
i dry for 2 weeks before jarring my buds.
weed is at its best after a good 3-4 weeks of curing in jars (when properelly dried) burping them daily for an hour.
(empty the jars and dry the buds before they rot any further).

Don't worry about it. The hay smell will gradually chamge back to that sweet bud smell in a few days. Just keep airing the jars out and you will be fine. Its normal.

Ok its called grass for a reason!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can put a orange peel or lemon peels in for a few days while curin but you gonna get mold out the ass. most the shit seeds you order IS shit and you get the ONE or TWO that is what they say it is, GREAT SMELLING!! hince makes the money lol, thats why we clone!!!!!!!!!

Not to much you can do but sell the hay smell for $35 1/4 as bomb homegrown lmfao!!!!!!!! its all homegrown or gurilla grown fuckin A, and hydro is a way to grow omglmaorotf!!! (I love telling people i have the "DRO" lmao!!) no one wants the hay smell and its in their mind that its no good even though its just as good as the so called "dank" that they pay twice as much for cause the smell hahahahahaha... I love you guys!!... like i said thats why we clone our best smellin and so willin to say throw out the ones not up to par so to speak (i smoke it lol) but let the dank haha go for premo price.

Pot smokers are extremely arogant and want to bring the best smellin bud they got to show off, not hay that gets you the same high (braggin rights)
