Almost done and losing smell??

seems all my crops lose their potent smell when they are almost done... what am I doing wrong??? when I cut out the nutes during the last week they just seem to go down hill... any advice would be great!!
 
but they get so bad you can't even smell them at all... it just smells like a plant!! are you 100% that its normal??

Keep feeding them up until you chop!!!
 
It's because of the reduction in nutes. The nitrogen is what causes most of the smell, almost like it makes the plant fart. Cut it back, smell reduces. Give it nitrogen, and you'll find it smells again. Anyway - after curing the smell will come back again.

is this true about nitrogen? I want a stronger smell, but cut nitrogen out in the end because i thought it was the primary cause of a harsh smoking bud
