The biggest difference I have witnessed with cheap leds is they will all veg a plant fine but then don't have the wattage power to grow good flower out, and that's how you know you got fucked. If that light you have produces quality flowers in that footprint then you have a winner considering it continues to perform for at least 50000 hours at that level. the top led companies in the business build good lights that last a long time without failure.

Agreed, some cheap lights are that way but not all. I don't know anything about the light he is using so you may be right on that one. I know the ones I use does an immaculate job at growing flowers.

This link is to a thread on here that shows a grow by member Stiffnuts12 using the blurple Vispar LED's growing decent enough flowers and that's a very cheap LED.

However the LED lights I use double in intensity/power and change to a completely different spectrum in the flowering mode. Plus the addition of UV for final flower phase. Also they are driven at 50% power capability to insure long lasting use without degradation of the spectrum/intensity during the first 5 years.

It’s the HP4S light by Alta Led here is a picture of it. Everyone is one here talking shit like I’m trying to promote a shitty LED light. I am not promoting any type of light. I am a average maintenance guy. You can check out my first Grow with it on you tube look up HP4S Ghost OG Grow on YouTube and see what’s up

Sorry here is the pic
The reason you're plants are stretching out and flopping over like that is because they're desperate to get to the light...which of course means the light isn't really doing the job for you with that many plants. It would probably do one plant very well, though.

That support system is not very good either. I know you made it Johnny on the spot, but next time you'd be better off with some simple, small tomato plant supports. They're only a buck or two each and would do a much better job.

When you have low powered lighting, you have to do far fewer plants. You're wasting material. Believe it or not, you'll get as much if not more off of one or two properly grown plant as you will 3 or 4 that didn't get the light they needed to really produce.

Is there a general consensus on how much light per square foot of canopy is needed for optimal flower growth?

It really depends on who you ask and what type of lighting you're using. You ask 10 guys, you'll get 10 different answers. To me, it's pretty simple and straight forward:

If you're running an HPS, you'd like to have around 50 watts per square foot. More is better to a point, but not really necessary.

If you're running a QUALITY LED (not those shit LED's that SAY they're 300 watts and are actually only 150 watts) then you'd like to have around 35 to 40 watts per square foot.

At least a few weeks. I'd try to get those stalks up against the sides to stand up a bit more towards the center. Use some simple kabob skewers and a twist tie and that should be enough. I'd check around week 10 and see how they look at that point.
