I am curious if size matters.. we had a bust out here in norcal and it was all about how big they were.. 14' tall plants. So 30 x huge plants could still be a concern to defend once you get to court.
As far as I'm aware legally a plant is a plant. There is no difference in the eyes of the law between a plant 10" tall and 10' tall. My lawyer has never once mentioned to me plant sizes. Cops try to pretend that some clones they pull up are worth $5k a piece. That happens all the time. I've never heard of anyone getting busted for having too big of plants when they stayed within their plant limits.
