Hello everyone..i am a newbie...at growing....i just started to grow my o.g. Kush i believe and i think (??) im doing fairly well...i have a poormans set-up...i germintaed the seeds for a few days using the damp paper towel method used a clear water bottle to plant it in....i place the plant in the window during the day light hours..then under a regular household light through the night..at a fairly close distance..as not to dry it up or cause damage .....imho io think that the plant looks good and string..maybe you guys can tell me what you think...ok.....

looks alright,your gonna ned more light rel soon or your plant will be real tall and spindly.

thank you for welcoming me..also.i know i will need some lights soon...i just dont know whats the best light to get for a person with a cash strapped budget..i dont want to spend a ridiculous amount on the light and the light consumption

buy some bigg cfls,those screw light bulbs and a fan,for cheap ideas only

Your plant looks good so far. Buggs is right. More light!

I don't know what your budget is, but CFLs are relatively inexpensive. A 42 watt bulb should run under $20. If you can swing it, Planet Natural has a sweet 125 watt CFL for $41.95. One of those could easily accommodate your lighting requirements.

Growing ain't cheap, but it's cheaper than buying your smoke.

yea....since this posting i have purchased a 23 watt cfl..just to as a test...but i was considering purchasing a small hps system

You don't want to use clear containers to grow in. Light is BAD for roots.
