Alittle help

Hey guys, I'm just staring to use hydro, I've read quite a bit about it etc I just thought I could do with a bit more help on these questions,

1) I have a 47 liter reservoir as I'm adding nutrients to the solution I'm going to need some sort of pump, to stop the nutrients sitting at the bottom. Not really for anything else other then to keep the solution mixed up and not let it sit at the bottom, could you suggest a good enough pump for that size reservoir please.

2) I was going to use pure clay pellets for the medium, would you suggest I use something different?

Thanks guys in advanced!

You don't really *need* a pump IMO, I have so much air being pushed into my res that its like a spa so plenty of movement (and more importantly, air).

I've been looking around and I do need a pump. Even when leaving the nutrient mixed solution in the tub I mix it up in for a day or so all the nutrients fall tot he bottom and you can tell the difference when you stir it.

I was wondering if the Ehem Compact Air Pump 600 will be good enough to actually mix it all up,
here is a video of it on youtube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otfIgNm1Whg

Hello pikeyz...

I have a 60gl res...and I just run a air stone...it moves it pretty good but I still get some sediments in the bottom of my barrell...I change my barrell every 5-7 days...so it is no big deal...I just clean my barrell real good between changes...

And I use just clay balls...make shure you clean and rinse the clay balls...and then clean and rinse again just to make shure they are clean...

Good luck on your grow....

Cheers bro! So just a simple air stone would do? I have one of those already so that'll save some money.

Dude, do what you think you need to do its your grow. You know its not needed but if it will put your mind at ease, get it, pumps are cheap enough.
