algae growth

Hi all

My plants are growing in Sure to grow growth medium. Several of the plants have green algae growing on the surface.

As I recall, algae won't effect the plants, but I do want to keep it under control.

Any recommendations?

ive been growing with a ebb and flo hydro system and i had real bad algea problems untill i tried hygrozyme.its 20 bucks for a small bottle but it works great for keeping everything clean

whats your medium? it must stay wet to have algea on it

Algae needs light to grow. Cover or shade that area to eliminate and control.

Def Agree! I just cut mylar to fit my 2 gallon buckets

Thanks everyone. I will cut some of my PandaPoly and cover the pots. I will also try the hygrozyme to knock out the current growth.

the hygrozyme not only keeps the algea away but it breaks down your nutes for easier uptake.so even when you have the algea under control it will benefit your plants
