Alaskan Ice grow, perpetual SOG

What's up everyone. I'm new on this site and new to growing also. Ive grown outdoors before, but this is my first real indoor grow, besides just fooling around with bagseed. A buddy of mine had an afghan seed he gave me to get started. Its 4 days into flowering, and I'm 90% sure it a male:sad:.
The alaskan ice seedlings are about 2 weeks old, but they are growing very slowly. They germinated quickly with the paper towel method(2 days). I planted them around the 12th, and they sprouted the 13th. Since then there has not been much noticeable growth. They are in my soil mix of Scotts premium topsoil, perlite, and some dolmite lime. I water them every other day. The conditions in my room are as close to perfect as I can get them. About 78 degrees and 40% rh. Should I give them a very week dose of nutes to get them growing again? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

almost forgot something important. I have them under a 400w HPS, with 2 26w CFLs for side lighting. I also have a fan on them to strengthen the stems.

yea i was about to say "are you sure you've grown weed b4?"... transplanting when growth starts to slow down will help it grow faster

Hey, at that early stage of the game, your little seedlings are reaching out with their roots to get a foothold. There is plenty of growth going on below ground. I sprout seeds and veg under a 400 Watt MH. I just mist my sprouts 2 to 4 times a day and try to keep the top layer of soil moistened. Every 3 or 4 days I thoroughly water them. Hope that helps. You should be seeing some accelerated leaf growth in a couple days, max.

How many of those AI's you got going? I've got 7 AI's at 17 days into flowering and about 14 clones just started. Can't wait to see the end result. good luck with yours!

Had 5 seeds. One didn't germinate, and one never sprouted. So I have three, and Ill be cloning as soon as I can.

i have approx. 25 AI clones in rockwool and under some veg lights next to their mothers.... i see roots and just transplanted them into the DWC and some into dixie cups for outside growing.

i hear so much shit about AI, but then when the homeboys come around clowning, later on they'll always ask me" hey, do you think i can get some of them alaskan ice clones?, i'll trade ya some widow or big bang, or w. rhino clones....." ha hah ha . real sons of bitches huh? lmao. i thought so to.
talk all that mess then want some of em. lol

i've only had one god sized one go hermie on me, but i've lucked out with a dozen good females after that. the stress i caused on the hermie was i vegged super long time over the winter in a cold ass room, then when the heater kicked on, it warmed, then got cold as hell each night. temps. need to be somewhat consistant when dealing with hydro set ups. so that hermie was all my own fault. i only cloned the phenos that looked mostly indica to me. some look hazey and i skepped out on those and flowered them out. i say keep clones of the good indica looking ones.

good luck
