Ak48 Should I start to flush ?????

Start your flush now. Your leaves are dark green which means they were fed with a strong nutrient solution and your flush is going to take 14 days. Some of your pistils are turning orange and even the white ones are starting to wilt over on your buds so in 2-3 weeks they should be perfect.

Get a 60x's microscope from Radio Shack to check the thrichs ($10.00). This will help you judge when to start the flush. I start to flush when I see about 50% cloudy. However, I don't allow mine to go to amber due to not wanting a couch lock buzz. I flush for 10 to 14 days prior to harvest, just my preference.
Getting close though.

Start now smiffy! and let it run until harvest. Really good growers flush for up to 3 weeks before harvest to ensure the best taste and quality of their products. Just looking at your plants you can see they are 1.5-2.5 weeks from finished, you don't need a bud microscope if you know what else to look for. However they also can provide you with a lot more information to go by.

Let me ask you a question: "Why do you think you need to flush?"
Your question tells me this is your first plant... because you do not know when plant is done...
So I'll ask again, why do you want to flush?
So at this time, of Big Bud growth, you want to quit feeding your plant? Does that make sense to you?
Plus, you are growing in soil, and well, soil is the great filter, so in essence you flush every time you water...

Step away from the plant...

Flushing is a waste of time, and does nothing IMO, except you deprive your plant of food when it needs it, does that make sense?
No...
Flush if you Fukked up nutes, or over fert'ed it... otherwise flushing does nothing....
Listen, did you screw up the grow?
Plants look small, and fine, how long have they been flowering? The day the bud started?
Your plant to me looks like it has "WEEKS" left... maybe 29 or 30 days...LEFT!

Seriously, explain to us, why you want to flush.... please....

Yea look how dark the leaves are, it needs a flush and its almost done growing anyway. In nature plants "flush" themselves naturally in the fall due to the dropping temperatures in the air and soil. That is why leaves turn colors in the fall. If he is growing indoors the point of a flush is to simulate this while allowing for plant growth to still occur. If he correctly flushes his plants he will be recreating what occurs in nature like everything else he is doing to his plants. It causes the plant to draw its last remaining energy from the leaves and distribute it to the flowers in an attempt to fight for survival. This draws chemicals and unwanted elements from your plants leaves and reduces the amount of chemicals in the finished product. This allows for smoother tasting and better burning buds.

Those were some really good points you brought up Sandx! and should def be answered by smiffy to give him a more accurate response. Yea explain to us what your thoughts are... please...

Do you just make this shit up? Got ANY proof of your BOLD claim?

NO chuck its simple science. The dropping temperatures in the soil reduce the pH and don' t allow for nutrients to be taken up as efficiently. The drop in air temperature and humidity during the fall months reduces the osmotic pressure between the root zone and the leaves reducing nutrient uptake. I could keep going if you like on a more technical level but i seem to just be wasting my time explaining such a simple concept.

PROOF, as in a scientific study by a university, Not your psychobabble.

read this, it has actual FACTS

Chuck you just seem to like to argue. I actually go to school for engineering science. If you would like list of the courses iv's taken to get my 2 year degree in ME and the last 3 years ive spent completing this Industrial Systems Engineering degree I would glady provide it for you. The information i provided you with was also from a scientific study done somewhere and is probabably all over the net. Seems like intelligent discussion with you is just psychobabble and snake oils, how constructive to thread that is

seems YOU just like to argue with NOTHING to back up your claims, I posted real links to REAL studies, Go read them before you make yourself look more stupid. We make fun of engineers. they study a subject and then all of a sudden there the authority on everything in the world. What does ISE have to do with Flushing a plant? Go look up the term LEECHING.

Industrial engineering is a branch of engineering dealing with the optimization of complex processes or systems. It is concerned with the development, improvement, implementation and evaluation of integrated systems of people, money, knowledge, information, equipment, energy, materials, analysis and synthesis, as well as the mathematical, physical and social sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering design to specify, predict, and evaluate the results to be obtained from such systems or processes. Its underlying concepts overlap considerably with certain business-oriented disciplines such as operations management, but the engineering side tends to emphasize extensive mathematical proficiency and usage of quantitative methods.

so this makes you an authroity on flushing plants?
LMFAO go puff your chest elsewhere

It's ok chuck i see you added that link after my comment in an edit anyway and glad you did. That article supports what I am saying anyway thank you.

EDIT: Engineering science involves much more than just that in its curriculum. glad you spent the time to look it up. another point that proves you like to argue. at np time did i say i am the authority on flushing. Also, im glad you make fun of engineers. Everything that you see around you that was built or created by humans was done by an engineer and im glad you and your posse take that for granted. im done with your immaturity post what you want and keep derailing knowledgable forums with you angry posts.

I had to go find the link on google because the search here doesn't work, You just talk out your ass, PROOF or it didn't happen. I'm still waiting ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!

Alright, first off one more thing. Why would you post a link to support what you are saying if you have to read it to find out what its about anyway. Just a question.
