AK 48 comin up on 8th week flower almost time to chop. Another week or 2? Flush? Pics

Hello! I posted a thread about 2 weeks ago on these same plants and now that some time has passed, I wanted to get some more opinions. I have 2 AK 48 girls grown under 600w HPS, LST, Soil, RO water with Cutting Edge Solutions 3 part nutes and CalMag Plus. Anyways, the leaves are starting to yellow now that its getting close to the end of its life cycle and the buds are starting to finally look "ready". Any thoughts on how much longer till chop? Im thinkin 2 weeks. Any yield estimates would be cool too since this is my first harvest and I have no idea what to expect. Thanks in advance for your time.

BTW the 3 random pictures at the end are my two girls in their veg box, One White Widow and one LSD by barney's farm. Got them in LST right now. They will be taking the place of the AK48 after I harvest :)

hey man theyre look realllllly nice, if i was you i would let them go another 2 weeks, id deff cut off like a small cola now and maybe in a week to get a feel of what u like if ur gunna grow the strain again. btw what size pots you got those girls in?

Thanks dude! That's a really good idea actually, Ill chop a tiny bud off now and in a week to feel it out that way. I grew them in 3 gal pots because I had to limit height to 3ft, and I heard general rule of thumb is 1 gal of soil per 1 foot of height. That's also why I LST'ed.
 
Definitely looking grrrreat. How tall is the AK. I 2 am growing AK48. Two of them in 3 gallon pots but then I cut the bottoms out of them and added another 2 gallons when they were in there 4th week of veg. They are now on day 16 of flower cycle. One is about 20" tall and the other stayed super short, only around 15 inches. How does your AK smell? My taller AK, when I rub the stalk smells like cherries or berries. The shorter has like a cheese smell. Anyways bro, they look great! I'm with the other Guy, let them go for another 2 weeks. Congrats and don't forget to come back and post harvest weight and pictures, if you don't mind?
 
I hate to be one of those people on here that say "two more weeks" but honestly, that's what they need. Too many white hairs at the moment, let 60% of them turn red. I would start your flush in one week though for sure. Looking really good btw, nice job.

Thanks bro, yea I grew mine in 2.5 gal pots (I said 3 originally but I think they're 2.5). Anyway they're about 2 feet and a few inches, but I also LST'ed. They smell like fruity pebbles! Exactly like them, its crazy.

I'll def do another post when I harvest so you can get an idea.

Yea that's what I was thinking. Its nice to get a second opinion though too. Honestly the pictures make the hairs look way more white, easily 40% are orange. But it for sure needs more time. And thanks!
 
Honestly, I would just like to dive right in the middle of them! Excellent job, they are lovely...whenever you decide to harvest.

Thanks! I do not suggest diving into these girls haha, you'll smell and be sticky for days. I've brushed into them while watering and I had to change my clothes. It just doesn't go away, you can smell it right when you step into my front door haha

I would say two more weeks, or go by the hairs, but the one way that I have found to be the best is to get a microscope, at least a 30x. the more amber(red) color the trichomes turn the stronger the couch lock. See, this way you can choose your high. Even harvest the plant in sections to have different dosages of the same plant. Maybe dosage is the wrong word but I think you feel me! +rep on those women

Thank you much bro I appreciate that. I'm on the two week boat as well, but like you mentioned, I like the heady milky trichome high with a lil less amber. But where can I get a 30x scope at? Ive looked around and havent had much luck. I'd get it online but idk if it would come in time.

And yea that brings up another question I had. What would happen it I harvested the top half of the plant and then waited a week or two and harvested the bottom? Would the bottom buds thicken up nicely? I know they'd be more amber and couch lock, but if it'd increase yield, why not.
