Airflow/ filter questions

I have a 325 cu.feet tent. Running a 600 watt that will be air cooled. Wondering what's the best fan and filter to use. I'm talking cfm. I don't want to spend alot of money but I cannot have any smell and I will be in an attic in the summer time so I think air exchange will be important.

ANY info would be great. Never did a tent before. Correct if I'm wrong but Im thinking somewhere around 100cfm exhaust so I can can clear the room in 3 minutes. That would also allow me to go with a smaller charcoal filter. Then I would need a little bit smaller intake fan for fresh air to the plants. How do I prefilter this?? What are decent can filters? I saw some on ebay for under 50 but I don't want to be screwed by some off brand shit.

Thanks so much for any help. I'm about to get this grow going very soon

Thanks Mount. I'm now wondering if I should even use an active intake. If I leave a couple holes open for passive intake will this let smells escspe? It.must right? Or if I use a smaller cheaper intake fan and the exhaust kicks in, will it damage the intake fan by sucking so much more cfm?

I run a 600w in 56cu ft. tent and have a 400cfm fan with a Phresh filter. I have trouble keeping temps out of mid-upper 80s in the summer in an inside closet with ambient temps around 73. I'm thinking if it gets hot where you are in the summer your temps could be high.

Passive intake won't allow smell to escape if you have negative pressure. What is your tent dimensions? 325 cu.feet sounds way to big for a 600w?

That's scary. That means I'll need air conditioning. Probably have to get indoor ac. Then I'll have to worry about smell from that exhaust too.

If my exhaust is continuous I would have negative pressure but what if I just timed it on every 5 mins? I guess I could keep it on constantly and do passive???

Figgy*** do u air cool the light? Mine has the tube and I'm gonna hook a cheap fan to it and air cool it

Yeah. The 400cfm fan pulls air through the filter, pushes out through the hood to cool the light, then out the tent and room. I run lights on at night time to keep temps as low as possible.

Not sure the temps in your attic during the summer... but a filter...these are good.. http://www.amazon.com/Phresh-701265...&qid=1459037957&sr=8-2&keywords=phresh+filter and the fan...http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005KMPN0K...TF8&colid=2OEUMIEMRUYTI&coliid=I3CYD9YESCOFX8... I use that one with the controller to allow me to change the flow as needed.... and here is light reading for sizing... http://botanical.com/hydro/air/calculating_fan_requirements.html

I've looking into that phresh filter but it is called an intake filter. On their website they have phresh filters and intake filters. Do you use it for exhaust and does it kill 100% of odor?
