Air Pumps

Well, I am going to take a little risk here and try something. Although I am new on this forum, I am definitely NOT new to forums and the internet, so I know how to search, and I have done a few here already, just wanted to get that out there.

So what I want to do, is use this Aussie Section to discuss Hydroponic products that are for sale in Australia. Why I want to do this, is because there are heaps of products available in the US or UK, that we cannot buy here for various reasons. Given that fact, there isn't any point discussing an American product that we cant buy here in Australia.

I cant see why it wouldn't be accepted to created threads in this section for us Aussies, however if the Mods or Admin don't agree, let me know and I will stop. As there are places for wide discussion, I want to keep the threads clean, on topic and solely about Hydroponic product sold in Australia. I have been around the internet emailing Hydroponic Suppliers in the US about getting their products in Australia, mostly its like flogging a dead horse.

I am going to start this off by trying to discuss Hydroponic Air Pumps, if you know of a good brand, not cheap rubbish, please reply to this thread, and if I get any takers, PLEASE keep it on topic, and the threads clean. I'm the type of guy that buys quality products, anyone can buy cheap Chinese rubbish, but finding quality products at reasonable prices in Australia requires a bit of help, that's why I started this, American, German and UK products are on the top of my list of quality.

Ebay Australia has the Aqua One pumps for around $25.00, that's cheap rubbish, I am looking for better quality, can anyone help please.

honestly thebest way to get an airpump is to go down to the aquarium and see what they have in stock or go to the hydro store.

i generally just use all pond one pumps. they are cheap and they do the job. they come with 1 yr warranties etc.

Well, over 120 views and only 1 reply, that's a good start.

Is anyone using or know anything about these Air Pumps from General Hydroponics. This is another one I have found, its an Alita Linear pump, however its possibly less known. Although these pumps are not in Australia, they are from a company in the US which posts to Australia, and is also quite reasonable priced.

The more and more I look into all these different products, the more interested I am thinking about opening a Hydroponics shop in WA, we have far less products, and the prices are just ridiculous.
