Hi huys,
been looking at buying 2 Air-Cooled Reflectors but they seem so pricey
seen some on ebay for £60 odd but does anyone know anywhere cheaper to buy them?
dont understand why there so expensive as theres not much to them really is there

£60 seems to be the going rate for a good quality model. Anything that has been fabricated out of meta to exacting specifications and quality generally carries a price tag of around £50 odd. Just look at many computer cases, it's just a piece of bent and rivetted metal, but most of the time those will sit at £50+ unless it's made of steel and retains the structural integrity of cheeeese

yea i hear what your saying m8 they is a guy on ebay that takes a best offer of £50 and if you buy 2 of them you pay 1 lot of postage but he's out of stock for 3 weeks, if i knew where to buy the metal i would think about making my own up lol i mean how hard can it be?? ;)

I've been looking at buying two air cooled reflectors for my new grow room. I've looked in grow shops and eBay and when you put your postage into consideration you may as well go down the grow shop and pick the exact one you want because when it comes to budget ac reflectors there isn't such a thing!

£50-60 is the going rate in the shops but surely it's worth it in the long haul! Let me know what you end up buying.

Just to update, the one i'm looking at is going to come in at around £75-£82 after shipping, like you say John, it's worth it in the long run, you grow enough, you can easily sell a half ounce to cover the cost. I would make one myself but i don't doublt i'd cock up on the reflective materials and aprabolic curves and such.

if i had 2 hoods does anyone know what size fan i would need??

the to hoods i think i will buy is here as there on offer at £109 for 2 of them + £6.99 postage
