Ok I have one 1000 watt air cooled light and I want to know if I have to have it continuously cooled while it is on. Because what I've done is hooked my air cooled light to my exhaust fan which isn't going to on the entire time the lights are on. So do I need to add a whole another fan, ducting, filter, etc. just for the lights?? Any help will be appreciated thank you!!

How big is your area? What kind of temps are you currently hitting? Is it a sealed enviroment with co2? Id run exhaust fan 24/7 if your not adding co2
id say yes in most cases you want to cool your hood whenever its on. If I dont cool my 600w my tent gets hot fast. If your not runing co2 use your one fan for everything. Run it filter > duct > hood > duct > fan > exhaust.

If its your first grow I wouldnt add co2 until you have every thing else dialed in. Also ive never ran co2 but you would need a second fan to cool your light. Your tent will get hot with a 1k. Just pull air from outside of the tent to the hood then right out of the other side of the tent. Never mixing the air with the enviroment inside of the tent.

if you want your room truly sealed then do as was stated above and pull air from a different location through the light then outside so your not exhausting your room at all. then you will prably need a ac unit and dehumidifier to keep everything in order, also one 1k isnt going to cover a whole 4x8 space like say 2 600's would, unless your only looking to grow in half the tent i would get another light but thats just me.
