Air conditioner/cooling advice

I am looking to switch from a 600w cooltube to a 1000w DE ballast. I understand that the air cooled DE bulbs are bullshit, so I am looking into one of the models with the ballast built in. Temps are fine currently with the 600w MH bulb and a single inline fan pulling air out directly from the tube. Room is a 4x4x7

does anybody have any advice for cooling that sort of ballast? I've been told at that point to cool the room and not the light, and I don't have any experience with that. I've been looking for small air conditioner units, but they all look like they dont work well.

Seems like a lot of trouble just to go to a bigger light in same size space. Personally if I couldn’t put a decent window unit in that room or keep it cooled with the lung room I would just go with 600w of led

Try a mini split. These units adapt easily to any space, you will be surprised how easy to install they are.

You should keep your DE 36” above your canopy
The unit will take up 12” that leaves you with 36” to grow
I wouldn’t run a DE 1000 with 7’ of head room

I was playing with my temp gun yesterday and got temps off the bulbs over 600f

Switch to a 1000w LED (not a pre built one) make your own with cobs or Cree and you will eliminate so much head you will save heaps on power and get a better yield , although it’s gonna cost any where from 300-600$ to make probably
