Today i've noticed that my pots are infested with these very small insects. I'm pretty sure they're spider mites, but perhaps you know differently? I took this picture adn pointed out the little fuckers.

I sprayed them with a soapy water insecticide, but they were all hanging around in the dirt at the base of the plant, at least the ones i saw anyway.

I'm not sure if this is killing them, bc it seems to just be going into the dirt, but how can i kill these fuckers on a mass scale? I have a pyrethrin based insecticide, but again i think the problem is that theres so many of them and they're all hanging out in the dirt.

also, here's a picture of some of the damage i think they're responsible for.

is that outdoor or indooR?, im not sure if its really spider mite but its some sort of mite, you can introduce ladybugs. If its spider mites you'll see webs and stuff its really nasty, but i find the best way to rid of them for good using a 3-7 day process . If its indoor you can use a fogger and make sure its active ingredient is pyrethin, fog the room to make sure it all die, tomorrow when you see some more fog it again, keep doing this everyday to kill them off. What this does is that the first fog will kill the adults, then after that their egg hatches then thats when the second fog will kill them and so forth. Keep doing this till theres no more should be in 3 days if you do it everyday st8. If its outdoor, same thing use the spray make sure you get under the leaves. Goodluck.

This guy has it down. Thats the only way I could get rid of them. YOu can use neem oil, pyrethin bombs and pretty much anything safe for fruits (that kills mites). At home depot they have an aqua colored bottle for fruits/veg. I cant remember the brand but I think it has the word "safe" in it. I would pick up about 4 bottles and spray them every day for 2 weeks.

From my experience neem didn't work nearly as well as the safer brand
fruit+vegetable insecticide ( organic ). That stuff seemed to just end the
problem in a hurry.

Good luck.

it helps to know what you're fighting. i just can't tell from the pics. could be aphids. thrips, mites. the dark shit may be scales. ladybugs eat most anything. the fogger idea sounds like good advice too. man, i feel for you.
