Agent Orange and Deathstar 1000w

Hey all just starting my grow journal. I currently have 6 plants, 3 agent orange and 3 deathstar. They are in a 5x5 grow tent under 1000 watt metal halide and are in roots organics 707 soil. For nutrients I am using the full house and garden soil system and additives. This is my first grow so any input would be appreciated! The photo below is about a week and a half into veg.

So the three agent orange are named after characters from Full Metal Jacket and they are:
Joker:

Private Cowboy:

Private Pyle:

Then the three deathstar are named after star wars characters so there is:
Darth Maul:

The Emperor:

Princess Lei:

Here's another photo about two and a half weeks into veg. The plants right now are about 12-18 inches and im going to switchover to flowering once they hit 36 inches. As always if anybody has any helpful advice feel free to comment.

Another update at about a month into veg. Just topped and fimmed a couple days ago and am hoping to switch over to flowering in the next couple weeks. The grow room got a little hot for a couple days so growth was stunted but the plants are recovering nicely.

anyone else think its not cool they named strain this? have u seen the damage agent orange has done, im the farthest thing from a hippy but I get a lil pissed about the bich who named it this.. I guess its from seeing all those deformed kids from that sht years laters.. or maybe im just retarded cuz atomic bombs have done more damage but "atomic kush" doesn't offend. lol. anyway gl w/ ur gro

So the room temperature has started pushing 87 - 90 as it is getting hotter. Just ordered an evaporative cooler that should help take of the edge of the summer heat.

So came into my tent this morning and found literally hundreds of little black ants on the floor of my tent. I've spent the day killing ants and thoroughly spraying the plants with organic insecticide. Think im going to trash the old tent and build a new one as I'm coming into flower. I will post pics as soon as the renovations are complete.

I'm in the process of building a new tent so it isn't in this photo. The plants are recovering well from the ant infestation and I'm looking to put them into flower on the 20th. As always if you have any helpful advice feel free to post! :lol:

Just finished the new tent and got the plants back in. They are about 2 1/4 feet tall and looking healthy. I'm planning to put them into flower on the 20th so I'll do another update then

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile I've been super busy these past couple weeks. right now I'm about two weeks into flower and the plants are looking great they have grown a foot in the last two weeks. Really looking forward to this harvest.

Wow man they are really flourishing keep it up, I'm starting a new grow and thinking of going from 600 watts to 1000 watt lights but I'm kinda of scared of the heat they produce.
looks like you got everything under control over here though, how maney gallon pots are those?
i use roots too but not the 707 the other stuff I love those guys great soil.

Originally i had them in little one gallon containers but those are seven. The 1000 watt definitely produces a lot of heat so you will need a good venting system but the extra growing power is totally worth it.

Finally getting around to posting some new pictures. I'm just finishing up week three of flower and the bud sites are getting bigger. Hoping to have some visible buds in the next week or two.
