Howdy all, comments & insight are welcome. Breaking in the New Year by re-purposing my Aerogarden. 2nd grow, first with aeroponics (quite pleased so far).

I followed the AeroGarden Best Practices sticky. Germed in a bowl and then transplanted to sponges, gave 12 hours the first couple days then shifted to 20-4.

Strains:
Definite: Sweet Seeds Green Poison

2x from Kiwi Seeds Indoor Mix
(White Island, Kiwiskunk, Milky Way, Hindu Kush) Will have to forsenicly identify

Special deviations from guidelines
Built a Cage around the AG with intentions to SCROG when the plants bush up in flowering. I have 2 AG hoods (1 deluxe one reg) for the top of the rectangular cage, and plenty of lights to bush out the sides. My vision is a hedge of 3 different strain plants.
Used a fancier flexible airstone to snake around bottom of tank
Used Stainless Steel Tea infuser to add Rooters Mycorrhizae

Been sipping on nothing but PH balanced water. Front row is Green Poison, with the 2 Kiwis on the ends in the back row.

By the way, what's the best way to change your Aerogarden Tank? in 60 seconds flat with that fish tank pump. I have a watering can the old water into and had a Gallon juice container premixed with solution to replace it with. Nascar style. :leaf:

Quick update: Thanks to a miscalibrated ph Pen I burned my babies right after the above. Green Poison did not pull through, but the two kiwi seeds did. Obviously the burn set back growth (Scrogging is probably a pipe dream now), but I will get some pics soon

Judge Dredd: Obviously that will work but it won't get your reservoir clean. I tried the quickie dump and fills but I ended up with an algae build up. If you start looking in the nooks and crannies you might not like what you find. Of course if you have a black A/G like one of mine you won't know the difference but you can easily see it in the white or gray ones. When I change my nutes weekly I give the tank a good scrubbing before I refill it and it's kept the algae problem down. I wish you well with your NASCAR changes. Please keep us informed on your progress.

Finally took a look inside today (right before reading this), and sure enough I had some nasties in there. It's still the easiest way to fill my tank since I place on the floor in my closet, but I will need to be mindful as you said. The girls look pretty haggard as a I learn the differences between soil and soilless, but they are still kicking (one with a pretty healthy set of roots). With their cleansing and a fresh tank, they're looking a whole lot better just an hour later. I Took some pics last night

As you can tell these ladies have lost a couple weeks worth of growing. They've started rebounding again, so I still have hope for them. when they both get over 6 Inches tall I plan on tying them down to maximize my space efficiency. One interesting thing to note that while their growth has been stunted thus far, they're both getting incredibly bushy (while still growing upwards). To compensate for the loss of my green poison I germed a Speed Devil #2 (Sweet Seeds), and will be attempting to grow that in a aeroponic/mister bucket. I covered up all the blue LEDs with tape which captures ~95% of the light (may get glass paint if it becomes an issue). I also got a new airpump (one that could handle both airstones), which is more powerful and quieter (Fusion Quiet Power 500).

Update: My plants died after repeated battles with slime. I have since mastered making a tea but decided to go back to soil for my next grow
