After My Sure Start for Seedlings, what Fertilizer next?

Looking for organic or natural ways to raise my levels of my NPK.

Thinking of getting more Alfalfa Meal to boost nitrogen and potassium.

Currently my NPK is 4 6 2

As pictured here from E.B Organics.

Just thinking for the future for what's next.

Something supplemental?

When it's time for bloom stage , what to add, what to use then, do you recommend?

Thanks☮️

Peruvian Seabird Guano. Both High Nitrogen, and High Phosphorus formulas. Peruvian Seabird Guano has the highest source of trace minerals than any other animal derived fertilizer. The seabirds eat fish, and the fish eat kelp.

Kelp.

Azomite

In bloom as in veg stage just make sure the soil is rich in all nutrients. The plants will use what they need. Dont be fooled that fertilizer ratios need to be changed when they flower. All they need is a nutrient rich medium the whole time. Never cut Nitrogen in flowering. I like to try and achieve a 1-1-2 ratio for the whole duration. Also make sure you have a good Calcium/Magnesium source. I would use both Calcitic, and Dolomitic lime. 2/3 parts Calcitic to 1/3 parts Dolomite.

Potassium Sulfate. 0-0-53

Use it 4 times at a rate of 2 LEVEL Tablespoons per gallon of warm water. Then to dilute by pouring 2 cups of the solution per 1 gallon of water. 2 cups out of 16 dilution ratio. 14 cups plain water x 2 cups of diluted solution. Potassium Sulfate also supplies Sulfur

When to apply Potassium Sulfate
  • immediately after planting young seedlings;
  • before flowering;
  • as soon as the first ovaries are formed;
  • during the ripening period

Buy a bag of Dr.Earth or Gaia Green 4-4-4 for veg and a bag or Flower Girl 3-9-4 for flower.
top dress every 3-4 weeks or amend soil before planting @ 2tbsp per gallon of soil
ph 6-7.
grab microbes (recharge)
add worm castings.

So do the NPK Ratios really matter?

Thought you stopped nitrogen at a certain point during flowering.?☮️

Is that on top of my EB. Organics Sure Start or by itself?

Was hoping to use up my sure start, it's over as year old, that's why supplemental is what I'm hoping for.

It's got the phosphorus, but not the other.

How bout this instead of potassium sulfate?Screenshot_2022-03-01-23-57-55-316.jpg

Langbeinite will work. Its just a different form of Potassium Sulfate.

I see Peruvian Seabird Guano is hard to get.

Might try these people for PSG

I would just use the 13-11-2 with the added Langbeinite.

You could also use this recipe. It doesnt contain PSG, but is really good stuff. All kids of people use this method, and it comes as a kit with everything needed. They probably have the best worm casting you can buy.
