Aeroponic System made of Aluminum

Hi. New and been reading. My grow room 5'x12' @ 7' tall, 600w x2, scrog, aeroponic, NL x Haze. I picked scrog because I don't want to clone and take care of 12+ plant. I was looking at 5 gal bucket but there's no reservoir unless I have another bucket as a reservoir and pump it back into the reservoir. I could set the 5 gal bucket higher to gravity drain back but it would limit my grow height even more and if I wanted a big reservoir, I would have to have a flat wide reservoir with minimum height.

I came out with the idea of building it all out of aluminum. 10' wide x 1' in deep x 20" in height and let the bottom 2" act as my reservoir. I could place a net inside too if I plan to grow bigger one day. I have a welder and cnc machine so it wouldn't be a problem, but I'm afraid the aluminum materials might throw off my nuts, lol. I plan to have my scrog net 4x4', 3-4 plant at the most depending on how far I place the distance of the two lights. If I could place the light 1.5' further apart and fit two smaller plant in a 3x3' making 4 plant or 3 big 4x4' net @ 3 plant.

1gal = 37sq in
120"x12"x2" = 2,880sp in = ~77gal

Thank you.

Let me know if I'm heading down the right path or if it's a stupid idea.

NVM. Did some more searching and it might not be a good thing. PVC are so expensive, it was cheaper to use aluminum. I'm going to use 4 gal square bucket, build a 6" stand, us a 10 rubbermaid tub as a resistor, biggest is 10gal with less than 9" in height on the ground. It will leave me with some room grow room still. I will use the save money for a chiller.

i would recommend against any hydroponic component being constructed out of metal. rust will eventually become a problem if nothing else. the bucket method sounds much more viable.

you can stack a 2.5 gal bucket in a 5 gal bucket and use a cheap airpump to bubble the nutes up to the top.
Dittto pn the metal bits.
Best to avoid all metals, and only SS if you need to use clamps or whatever...

Thanks guys. I went with a big tube and 5 gallon bucket for now. I got almost everything needed and my seedling is already a week old, NL #5. If everything goes right, I want to expand to 600w x 6 (2 row) and build one out of 316. I have time to sleep on the design for the time being. It should be a good project this summer.

I will sure make a build thread.

I can't seem to spend money on some plastic tubing and joints that cost a lot. I also can't seem to find money to spend on a built system in the thousands.
