I have a high pressure misting system like you might see attached to a fan at six flags to cool the area. These operate at around 600 to 1000 psi and have a VERY fine mist this one can mist an area about 40 feet long and perhaps 8 feet wide.
I wonder if anyone has used these to build a aeroponics system. I am thinking of running all the containers back to a central res, and them with a low pressure pump supplying the high pressure pump with water/nutes. My concerns are that the nozzles may be to small and the salts clog them frequently and that the pump may corrode from the minerals.
I have no hands on experience with aero but it seems like the natural choice of methods for the type of grow I would like to do next. I have a UV sterilizer and air pump that I can put on the res and could hunt down a chiller to keep water temps in check.
I would like to eventually do a SOG in my 10x10 with something quiet compact like Little red ryder.
Only turned the pump on once last year and not at all this year, I hate to let go to waste.
