Aeroponic pump question

I am building an aero setup and need to try and figure out how much gph I need. This is the basic setup:

10 sites / approx. 6" apart (2 PVC pipes so 20 sites in total)
PVC will be sitting on rez
Approx. 40 misters (360 degree non-spinning) taped into 1/4" pvc

I was hoping that 650 gph pump would do the trick.. what does everyone think? Will I achieve a nice mist with that much gph or need more?

not sure how much you'll need... but im setting up a smaller one of these and someone recomended 200-300 gph for 12 misters.... so if your using 40 then i would aim closer to 1000.... but it may work if you keep the lines short

i just bought this, i will be running 10 misters in a few feet of tubing. i'll keep yu posted, i asked around and peep said it was ok je thought. It says 6 feet of tubing and someone said yeah that sounds right, so i hoping

nevermind cant find it. It was a 19.99 in line water pump at 390 gallons i think on ebay. Was not under hydro pumps. Some wherehouse placem but type "in line water pumps" and they got cheaper prices thane "hydro water pump" and u want the inline or yur res gets too hot.

Earl says you should have approx. 100gph / 8 misters.. So I had to go back to the drawing board and redesign my aero sites.

I've downgraded to a 10 site per tube (2 PVC tubes per site) which would give me 20 misters per site.

If my math is correct, I'd need approx. 300gph.. I believe that you need 12gph @ 15-30 PSI per 360º mister to get a nice mist, so I guess I'd need more like 500gph for my 20 misters.

So you're right on E S

im making a 6'' pvc setup in a small tent.. personal grow i have all the pvc tubes cut and i ordered a 400 gph pump a few days ago(due to the one i ordered befor never comming) ill link you to the journal when i get it up in a few days so u can get an idea of how it works

I would go with the smallest one possible. They use way less power, and your neighbors wont hear it. You can make up for the difference by adding fish tank bubblers.

My understanding is that if you go with a smaller pump you won't get a very fine mist and since the pump has to work harder you'll end up overheating your rez water.. So I thought I'd go with a more powerful pump.

Honestly you want a high pressure external pump. I run my aeroponics setup on a 980 gph submersible and the water gets pretty damn hot if I dont cool it.
