Aeroponic/Hydroponic School Project in Rural Alaska

I have really come to like the media-less foam set up fro the greens... you know the leafy stuff...

As for the the rest, I am not sure... but probably foam, if I can figure out how to make it work in the different applications...

It is just so clean and easy... you can move the plants easily...

I really think I am going that way, unless I find something just as clean that works better...

Gypsy...:-P

i was thinking that also =)

Cheaper and works just as good as most other mediums if you have a constant spray or pool of water under em (which cant be too hard to setup)

I need to go buy some foam for a project im going to attempt (cloner based off wolfman's tutorial if my memory serves me right)

Yes sir! Walmart all the way!! =P

I like his carbon filter method also, ingenious!

Easy to make by his instructions too =)

Gotta love cheap (good) stuff!

Have you made one of the pop bottles with the shoe laces...???

I am able to sprout seeds in it that wouldn't sprout on anything else I tried...

Works awesome.... and free... 1 pop bottle one shoe lace... maybe some tape... oh and a knife...:-P

I dont know what that is, never heard of it...

Can I get a possible linkage to the thread or a tut?

this thing...:-P

just cut the bottle... flip the top.... tie a knot on the shoe lace so it won't slip through... fill with PH'd water.... the plant will wick through the shoe lace... and you can just cut the shoe lace or remove the roots early enough...

easy and free.. out of the garbage... :-P
