Aerogarden Vs CFL's

I am a first time indoor grower and am divided between the Aerogarden and CFL's. What would you more experienced growers use and why?

Hey, I am new as well and no expert. My research says this is much better in terms of value/price/total 10,000 Lumens at $70 vs. Aerogardens. Nice and maybe not as sexy though.

I would go with a simple CFL grow. You get more for your money and you have more options for your set up.
AKA Ventilation, Water, Heigth, Light penetration.

aeros are really very small if you look it over and you think it will grow enough to make it worth it then go for it but i think the better way to learn is with dirt!

Thanks guys for the input. The reason I was thinking about using the Aerogarden was because I was planning on growing automatic flowering seeds so space is not a problem since plants stay relatively small but I would like to move up to bigger plants later on. Another reason is I was trying to keep cost down since it cost about $5 a month to operate the aerogarden. What would you guys say is enough lights to grow 5 plants and cost to operate per month?

prob 5 bucks in elect. 1dollar in nutes SO $6

shultz 10-15-10 liquid and superthrive $5

both will last a few years in a small garden!!

ps you can run 16 23watt/8 42watt cfls for $5 bux a month maybe $8 in cali...

thats a clean set up, I have 12 24 watt, 100 Equevileient Bulbs, and 2 23 watt grow bulbs in the Hood for the aerogarden, kind of bought was i went haha, my first grow, so i got everything worked out for my next, might switch to DWC or somthing

Yeah I have 5 27w 6500k and 2 4ft tubes right now. I'm going to add 5 more 2700k cfl's for flowering and see what happens. This was my first indoor grow but since I've started this I have also started my 8 site aeropnics box that I made which is working out nicely Under a 600w hps. I just wanted to see what kinda buds I could get from a fairly cheap setup.

you can start a grow with 1 cfl and build as the plants grow!
just do alot of reading you can make a setup like this we can walk you through the steps so its easy and safe!!

google "odno"= over drive normal output turbo charge your flouro tubes!!
