I was gifted one of these contraptions this year, all in all it seems to be pretty legit but I hit a big snag but came up with a great way to fix it so I thought I'd share. I acquired one of the "Pro" models so it has this strange timer setup so you can run lights 24 hours or something ridiculous like 18-6. I plan to use it for single cola budsicles so it would be perfect. The problem is figuring out how to get it on 12-12, the instructions say just to put it on 24 and use a light timer but the light timer will turn your pump off too hence the problem. The holders for the sponges are held out of the water and it trickles down into them. I knew the plugin for the light looked familiar from somewhere and then it hit me. It's the same plugin as a PS2/XBOX power cable. It's shaped like a figure 8 so I tried it thinking it couldn't hurt anything, but lo and behold it works perfect.
