hey i got an aerogarden 3 and it came with nutes. i plan on using them, if they are good. i read in a few places itll kill the new plant and the oppposite in other places. also, what is the best, cheap nutes i can get from my local stores (kmart, target, petco). but are the nutes the aerogarden comes with good? is wat im mainly looking for. also how often should i use the nutes?

do you mean 1 tablet a day?
From what I've read in the Aerogarden Club thread, it's 1 tablet every 2 weeks, or 1/2 a tablet a week. I think the normal dose is 2 tablets every 2 weeks, but you want to do 1/2 of whatever they suggest in the manual, I think.
I've also heard good things about foxfarm and... some other brand. I think those are more in hydroponic stores - just do a google maps search for hydroponics with your zip code and that should help.

i dont think you will run out of them either, i had the herb kit and used those nutes for 2 grows that turned to be male, and one while grow with some fem clones

ive had mine on tap water from seed untill now day 10, i just added 1/2 of a starter nute tab that came with my herb kit, i think after vegi im gonna look into getting ether the AG tomato nutes or.. maybe... some foxfarm if i turn out getting some good looking girls.

im using the AG nutes also. Their not bad at all. They have potential. Im using the smaller ones, once a week for 9 weeks.

very nice, i was wondering tho.. does it matter if its tomato nutes or herb nutes? b/c in my pack of nutes each lil bag has 2 nutes of the same size, it only came with 2 small ones (starter nutes) and like 20 of the others.

I used the tomatoe nutes 1 tablet a week after the 4th node grew ,, Then I topped it .. I used the 3 lights in my hood and had 6 additional CFl's
current setup is a 3 pod aerogarden, 2 full spectrum cfls (plan on getting more that are bluer)
im growing purp seeds (not sure what kins, friend just calls it purp)
im not into veging yet, but when i am, i will do 18/6, and 12/12 for flowering
im not gonna use pH control.
