thanks, alot of great info I found very useful in here.. I'm germing my seeds now.. I got some Master Kush going w/ the aerogarden

That's Great. I know you dont want to loose any master kush seeds. I mess up 7 white widows seeds and 7 haze seeds. The root grow around and out the damm sponge. I wish i knew what i know now. Good Luck!

how did you do that? i dont want to make the same mistake?

I germanated my seeds wrong. I did it out of a jar. And the root started to curl. So that's why i said use the paper towel way. The root developes straight out pointed down when using paper towels.

Ok.. Yea i went back and read your first post and figured you were talking about that.. At 9 PM tonight, these seeds are gonna be at about 36 hours.. Im gonna give them a check then..

Do you split the sponge at all when you grow with it? I heard some people doing that but didnt quite get it.

Its already split enough. You should let the roots grow down and out the sponge. Those sponge will fall apart on you. Be carefull. By spliting the sponge all the way down the root can develope alot faster but it will be alot harder for the plant to sprout. It will never make it out the sponge toward the light.

Yeah thats what I was worried about.. I cant wait to get these things planted.. This is my first grow out of soil.. and its very exciting

One other issue I had is how to go about adding nutrients? I dont plan on adding my nutes for a week and keeping it plain water until then.. After that.. I am assuming I just get a gallon mixture of water with nutes dissolved and add as the tank gets empty right?

One little hole down the middle of the sponge is all you may need to do.

well i planted them last night roots down ( i made sure ).. now two of them already came out of the sponge and towards the light (root as well).. i took a tweezer and redirected them where they belong.. i got seeds in all 7 pods so i hope atleast 5 sprout.. You can also see the seeds coming higher and splitting.. one of them already came out of the shell.. hopfully by the end of the night theyll all be like that

You did what you could. Now let them grow. Give them some time. And CHILL OUT! PEACE.

I read that adding a air stone would help because it adds oxygen.

hmm Nekroman i ordered a PH pen and PPM pen i want to be sure evrything is perfect for my little babys i bought some indica for my first grow ever i also have air stone like i told you taking no chance hehe. Thx alot guys for your tips
