As an expirenced outdoor grower i fell that with heat coming down harder its time to move indoors, and have had many tip me to hydroponics i get the idea but all i want to know is what your prefered soil replacement is.

Are you sure you want to come indoors 100%,we've been getting alot of military assholes flyin around the last few years looking for gardens & they've gotten pretty sucessfull too.

Have you thought about changing your plan of attack,instead of planting a few large gardens why not plant a hundred small gardens with 2 or 3 plants in each,its very time consuming this way but the success rate is huge.

Soil replacement... coco husks (the outside fibers surrounding a coconut), mixed with perlite and/or vermiculite, expanded clay pellets, you can use sand... just as long as it drains well,.

yup I'm sure i'm going indors i'd rather take my chances indoors i dont have the space to go 3 here and there nice idea though
