Advice on Topping.

Hey guys, I've heard that one doesn't need to top their plant more than two times or at least not even think about topping it until the plant is at least 5 nodes tall. But I was just wondering if topping the plant early on is a bad idea? Right now, both my plants are right at 4 nodes. I plan on keeping them indoors and not to get over 3-4 feet tall. Would it be a bad idea to top the plant or should i wait till they are 3-4 feet tall? Any advice would be much appreciated.

wait till about 8-10 inches..imo

i have topped the first nodes then topped the 2 that came up after that and had 4 huge Colas from one seed.

How come you want to top them?

Are you cloning?

I prefer LST. I tied my tops over to give the plant the idea that it had been topped. It creates lees stress for them = less time to recuperate. In a couple days my tops turn back up and head towards the lights as well, sometimes I will tie them down a couple times. When I have between 4-6 tops per plant I stop tying the original top and let it go up with the others. There is more info on the internet but I am having a hell of a time referencing it right now.

Im an OD grower and i mix and match to break farm look ya know. Topping early seems to work best for me. i get new nodes withen 3 days and i only do it up to 4 times per plant. i had a giant last year that had 8 nice cola tops.
