Advice on moving to California???

Hello all. I recently live in a state where the cultivation laws are so bad, like so bad. I have only grown a couple times but already know that it is what I love to do. I was wondering if I moved to Cali in 6 months is it hard to get a card from a doctor to grow? I don't want to take away from people with serious problems and really need the cannabis, but it does relieve my stress and anxiety. Do you think it is a good idea to get up and go out west? I was thinking San Diego. Thanks for your insight.
 
California is, in my opinion, the most beautiful state in the world. Really; but San Diego is hot and never has seasons (I lived there for a while). I suggest you plan a trip to Cali and visit the biggest areas: SanFrancisco/Berkeley, San Diego, and LA.

Personally, SanFrancisco/Berkeley area is my fav because the people are just weird enough for me and not to snobby like in Southern Cal. The laws are nice (check out Oakland's attitude on medicinal marijuana; cops are forbidden from making arrests on ANY marijuana charge, or something like that). The Bay Area is directly in the middle of all the major ecosystems of California; you can access the following in 30 minutes to 3 hours: the Pacific ocean (better than the Atlantic), river valleys with beautiful plains, farm land with thriving crops, and huge Sierra Nevada mountains with hiking, skiing, backpacking galore.

Come visit Cali first. Regarding the card, the big question is, do you have any oweys? I have an old back injury that still acts up a few times a month and causes me 2 out of 10 pain daily, so technically, I'm good for a card. I'd rather have just a letter from my doc though (a letter is all you need to join most clubs); I don't know how safe my info is with a card, but with a letter only I and my doc know.

Where are you moving from?
 
I don't wanna say where I'm from but it's hot and the laws suck. I've been to San Fran...I liked it, but it wasn't my kind of place to live. To touristy I think for my taste. I think I have a job lined up in S.D that's why I was thinking about going out there. Is it a necessity to have a car there? or do they have legit public trans?

you would love cali.
you should take a drive out to Big Sur too if you ever come out to cali.

Los angeles county, Orange County, Riverside County, San Diego County. Is where you want to be.
 
San Diego has public transpo, but having a car will be so much easier. The traffic kind of sucks.

And yes, san Fran is super touristy, but did you visit berkeley at all? it's better.

If you do go to San Diego without a car, live close to work.

touristy? wtf? outside of chinatown and a 5-6 block radius in north beach, i dunno whatchoo talkin bout.

SF area is much larger than the city ... and yes the bay is expensive, but there's a reason ... you can head to south or east bay for much more reasonably priced accomodations, relatively of course.

i think santa cruz is pretty nice, not terribly overpopulated as i think the bay proper is, and pretty laidback. prices are great considering the proximity to the ocean.

but yes, you should have a decent job if you plan on doing more than scraping by or living outside of the ghetto.

personally, i wouldn't live anywhere in cali except norcal. transportation in LA without a car is a joke. it's a great place to visit, but i don't care for it. to each their own.
 
Come to Orange County. It is like no other place on Earth. Be prepared to spend about a million dollars on a nice home. It is well worth it if you can afford it. Don't worry about snobby people. I don't.

Chuuuuurch! lol. Im on the coast too, just about 100 miles north of you, and I agree so many of the ladies is fake out here, and so materialistic it's pathetic. I hate to pass judgement but the slut comments stands pretty true as well, and they get all butt hurt when someone calls them a slut. It's too funny, like a soap opera out here. I moved out here from Anchorage, Alaska like 9 years ago, and it has gotten worse in my town. But I guess that's what money will do to ya. Again this is all my opinion.:peace::joint:

Are fake and slutty girls bad? ha Do they smoke? Do they like musicians? Btw how is the music scene out there? NY is another choice that I can go but the growing laws are more strict than Cali. But the subways are great and music and art if real big.

They smoke marlboro lights, and snort. lol. haha. If they got money they like musicians. lol. It's great all kinds of music. LA is like the west coast new york.

Damn girl tell me about it. I thought it was some shit you only saw on tv til I moved here. I guess cuz I spent most of my time in Norcal, and it aint that way up there!

i hate it.
but there are a lot of punk shows, metal, rock, rap...
