advice on hid for cabinet

Hope everyone is doing ok,, I would like to possibly put a HID in my cabinet.
I was hoping that someone that has been using them for sometime could help
me with this? the cab is 22"wX33"HX17" deep, I used cfls for my first grow.
But if I can afford it I would like a HID for the 2nd. I had a heat problem but a couple
cpu fans took care of that.Thank yall for any help.

I was just wanting to know what size HID to use in my cabinet.
I have tried to read up on the subject,is there a formula to use
to figure this out.I know that its 2000 lumens per plant and I
will have 5 plants soo that would be 10,000 lumens.mmmmm
 
imo depends on a few thinks... like is the light going to be air or liquid cooled?
how much air are you going to be able to move
 
Hrm, the area seems a little small to be able to keep the heat under control with HID so I'd think you'd be fine with a 250W max. If you can get a switchable ballast that does MH for veg and HPS for flower that'd be ideal.
They have those little UFO LED lights for about $150 that would work good in a space that size and not get too hot.
Overall I guess it just depends on your budget and what you want to do. Peace. =)
 
thats another thing i was going to say, dont underestimate the heat HID put off, i know my first grow i thought i was ok just sticking a 400watt in my closet.... obviously didnt go well haha
