Hi Guys!

I want to start growing in the near future, I'm planning for one to two autos, just enough for my wife and I personal use. I wanted to make sure I'm going to have everything I need for my setup and see what you guys think!

My current situation doesn't allow for a large grow room so It will most likely be in a small walk in closet.

Ideal strain would be Cinderella Auto Jack

with low stress training method

I would recommend spending 200 on some LEDs. In my opinion, you could buy 3 giixer 1000W (110W) for less than 200. And you would have 300-330W of LED. The giixers really do wonders. I have 2 of them and another light in one of my tents.

And I just got the third light. 80% of my plants life she has been under ONLY 2 giixer 1000W LEDs

Here she is. They are worth it i promise. You would get 3x the wattage you planned for and great results.

He started the same thread on another forum and I asked him the same thing.
It's not that I hate auto's. It's just that I don't understand why people grow them indoors when they're just doing a straight grow. I've grown auto's but for a specific reason like a midsummer harvest outdoors. Indoors unless the grower is doing some kind of staggered/perpetual harvest in 1 tent it really doesn't make sense. Photo's will give better control over the grow and have better genetics. With auto's early mistakes might not be able to be corrected and many growers end up with stunted plants that start flowering at 8 inches. Being crossed with a woody high leaf to calyx ratio plant like Ruderalis brings those traits. The auto I grew this summer smelled nice, looked nice, but was nowhere near the quality of a true photoperiod plant.

I couldn't agree more.

Like the light you decided on, HLG is a great choice but if you have the space and height I'd consider a HLG 260 I'd avoid the made in china crap, purple spectrum makes diagnosis of issues difficult plus photos look like shit. The HLG is dimmable so you can run lower watts during veg then turn up the watts for flower. Last thing, buy a real filter, the fan you decided on is great and will work wonders when paired with a compatible filter oh and don't forget a couple of clip fans to keep the air moving over the plants. Last thing you are going to need is a dehumidifier and humidifier nothing to big but they will help control the environment. Lots of other things to spend coins on to but I'm sure you'll figure that out. Didn't realize that the tent was a 2 x 2, go with the HLG 135 it will rock that small of space, the 260 would be way to much!

1st grow. Don't do auto flowers. They stunt easily and new growers will fuck them up. Its guarenteed.

Also new to growing weed imo should not start with coco. Begin with a good soil. Coco takes alot of focus and nutrient loading. While soil buffers Ph for you up to a certain point and doesn't need to be watered and fed nearly as much.
