Advice Needed Please

Evening all fellas,

1 week into my first grow.
Germinated 23 of 24 seeds, all brought on in peat blocks in a prop. Day 5 planted into 5ltr pots and now under light.
Lights are 2 x 400w cooltubes approx 3ft from plant, is this too far away?? Any closer and am just scared that leaves will burn a bit.
My room is in loft and is running 30 to 40% humidity and 85 temp, struggling with heat and humi to be honest.
Plants growing like crazy but i think seem to be getting a tad long. Big leaves considering only 7 days old but are approx 50 to 60mm in height already. Is this cool??

Room is 7ft long by 5ft wide by 4 ft high!!! Not ideal i no but its all i got

Any help would be massive

you are going to need a fans in there as well, plan on topping, better hope for plenty of males, lots of plants for that size room

Never done this before so is a bit of trial and error. Basically have 35 sq ft and thought each plant would be fine with one sq ft each. I no the head room isnt perfect but if i top should be ok. When do you top by the way, is it just before you go into flower cycle??
Have a 4inch intake and 5 inch extraction, extraction is pulling through lights and has carbon on the end.
Never knew that about the hand thing, will lower to them as low as poss in the morning
Do you not think ill do that many in that size room?? To be honest didnt think all seeds would germiante.

on the bright side you will have some males (unless the were fem seeds) . since you need to top them , they will grow wider more bushy, which is going to take up more room. top them after about 5 to 7 sets of true leaves, you don't want to do it too close to flowering.
 
keep a normal water schedual if your even mess it up by one day it could stunt the growth i have a calender by my room marked when ? what time ? and how much nuts!
 
i agree the lights need to be closer, this will reduce the stretch. as far as how far way tthe light should be use the sensitive side of your arm to tell how far the heat is radiating off the light that will give you an idea, i kn ow its not a scientific method but it works, if you have all females its going to be a sea of green and a pain keeping them going. might would have been easier in a rwdc to feed

Lowered lights right down to 16inch above plants, have got just one that seems to have a slight bit of leaf curl, strange??
I take it topping them is just to nip the tops out of them??
Will me lowering the lights keep them smaller and more bushy???

So you guys think its gunna be hard keeping all these little babies going??? What going to be hard about it??? I no its my first time but im mad keen on it already, girlfriend goin mental already, my nights are now spent on the computer or in the loft!!! Shit happens
