Hey all, was just wondering if there was any way possible to raise my soil once seeds already potted? To make the soil level with the top of my pot, I underfilled, any advice apprecieated, cheers.

if the seed hasnt sprouted yet you can carefully remove it and fill the container then re plant it. not really safe by any means but can be done with a steady carefull hand. or once the seed energes and opens up the taproot shouldnt be that long you can dump out the pot and carefully remove the seedling, fill container and then re plant, i do this all the time with my veggie sprouts since i sow 4-5 seeds per square on a flat i need to "thin" them out.

also theres lots of UK growers on these boards.

Just curious, why would you want the soil line at the very top? I like to have an inch or so to allow water to cover the top of the soil and soak down through. If you have dirt to the brim you will have a muddy mess inside your grow area when you water. Being an Auto all your activity will be up top anyways. I'd just keep the bottom lollipopped. As long as you still have a couple gallons for the roots is the main thing.
I sure wouldn't try to repot the sprouting seeds and put them in shock, or add more soil for them to have to fight through.
Good Luck!

Agreed, this is possible.. but you must have a skilled, and very steady hand.. or you can do extensive damage, or kill the plant entirely. If you don't have that experience under your belt just yet, it's advised that you let it grow out a bit more and develop a solid root system before trying to raise the soil level to where you want it.

my guess wood be wait till u next repot your babbies

ok man wait till thay sprout and first set of leavs show then add the extra soil hope i healped thay will be fine nice to see another grower in the uk XD

Cheers mate, I want to keep it as simple and stress free as possible for my first indoor experience, looking healthy enough how they are so no need to interfere really.
