Advertised Yields??

May seem like a dumb question, but when I see seedbanks advertise the yields of a certain strain - I always see 300-400g/m2, or 30-50g per plant, etc.

Are these values in projected wet or dried weight??

dried... lol

when they say m2 they mean scrogged and all of these weights are under optimal conditions by someone with a very green thumb!

Good luck!

Dry weights, with all the variables in growing, I take that info with a grain of salt. 50 grams per plant wet would come out to about 12 grams dry, knowhaimsayn.

haha - well ya, that's why I ask - I don't know yet what a typical plant can acheive I've only grown one outdoor, and was satisfied, but not as successful as I would have liked, since I didn't pay as much attention as I should have.... lesson learned.

so when I see the "potential" of 50g per plant - you are saying that is projected dry weight, and the plant should really finish 150-200g wet (fwiw, just trying to nail the concept).

as the guy said earlier...given great conditions and someone with a glowing neon green thumb, 150-200g wet seems kinda low, unless you are looking at a really short 6week autoflower strain...heavy hitters with awesome lights and awesome ability to control the environment in which they grow will yield 1000-1500g wet for high yielding strains.

1000-1500g wet

I think I just got wet myself lol. :-?

Sounds awesome. Also sounds like I will never in my life-time achieve those numbers. Not that it concerns me - would love to just get enough to last me the year lol...

I think a few autos in the right conditions will serve me well - not a heavy smoker anyways - just when my neck is really acting up, I like it to help ease me to sleep. Not to say I won't smoke either with a few buddies just for funzies, but I'd rather not run the risk of nosey neighbours / utility spikes, etc. But I suppose if there's a will there's a way!

Electrical cost is negligible, i raised my daily Kwh usage by around 10kwh, and i run a 600w with 2 fans, a hydro system, air pumps, osc fans and an occasional dehumidifier .

Raised my UK monthly bill by £20.

Its pretty safe to say that if you have CO2, Temp Control, and decent Nutes..... You will get @ a lb dried per 1000 watt setup.... You can put 4 ladies under a 1000 and get 4 off of each.... or you can put 1 under a 1000 and get all 16 off that... If you want to calculate it in terms of grams per M2.... Id say @ half of what they project is reasonable....
