Just a little information on this thread. I will be posting pictures of plants I am working on. Questions and comments are welcome. Anyone who wants 2 talk shit about my setup lights included or my plants can keep their opinions to themselves.
Here's the setup 2 2 x 3 grow tents one veg one flower. I am vegging under 2 Kingbo 45 (35 true watts each). Flowering under one Kingbo 600 (230 true watts) and 1 Docooler 1000 (100 true watts).
This is an unknown medical Indica that was given to me by a fellow grower, 5 weeks into flower. All seeds are regular seeds

Lookin good, generally speaking youll want to trim all the bottom half off the plant in your future runs before week 4 flower. Earlier the better.
Thanks for the tip. I trim often but they re leave pretty fast until about week 4 from my experience. I trim everything except 3rd node. all growth is off 2 branches

Ya i know what im looking at ;) really tho in that top picture everything under the red ring is wasted energy that could go into the tops, youve got a lot of larf. Its lookin good just giving ya a tip for next time.

I see what you're saying. Thanks for the tip but I don't agree that the energy is wasted sure the buds are smaller there will be some larf most of it still comes out pretty dense good to smoke the little larvae I get goes towards edibles

Thats your call an up to you :)

Heres my logic tho, not trying to force anything on you, just give you my experiance. If you clip away all those growth points early on, all that energy stays with the plamts and goes to to the upper buds. Youll get more and larger bud up by the light. It will be a faster trim.

In the end you dont lose any weight at all by removing the lowers, infact you may gain a noticeable amount because you arnt forced to turn some of that bud into edibles.
I then use all the sugar trim to make my edibles via the dry ice method. Put the trim in a 220 micron bag with some dry ice an shake it. First it will come out golden yellow, stop when it turns green. Mix it all up and put it in a baggy. 4g of this makes a batch of 1 and done cookies. :) doing it this way works well for me by saving me trim time, keeping my bud with the bud, and still getting my edibles. But everyone has to find what they like so do what you like.

That's good advice. But I'm set in my own ways. Trust me there's not much larf at all. And as far as edibles. Depending on what you're making for your butter just simmer all your Trim in the butter after you've simmered it a good 15 to 30 minutes drain out the plant material add to your favorite baking recipe same thing when making oil olive oil is the best. Tincture use vegetable glycerin. I appreciate the advice I really do but I think your way of the dry ice method is overkill no need for all that

The benifit of the dry ice method is that the kief easily goes into anything in seconds, as you want it. For me, i wouldnt want to make a few pounds of butter then have to store that, or olive oil, or coconut oil or whatever. To me its about saving space. The dry ice tech takes only a few min, its actually a huge time saver, plus no dirty dishes! I used to cook my butter like that, just got to be a pain. And i dont like the taste. This way you get all tye effect and your cookies taste normal. So normal its dangerus lol

Not a pain. My wife takes care of edibles. Dishes need to be done anyways. I enjoy that wonderful taste that comes along with preparing edibles that way.:weed:
