Advanced Nutrients VS. Mega Crop

I'm going to post an entire journal on this site. I just ordered enough to get me through a 600w hydro grow.
I will be following it with huge interest.
What I like is that you put your money where your mouth is.
Hope that you will be as objective with the comparison as possible.

Please put a link also in this thread.

Also please of that competition you talked about earlier.

Right on in a few weeks I'll be resetting my grow and trying Megacrop as well. Hoping for some good results.
If you're gonna make a grow journal, please post a link here.
Interesting!

I'll call it like I see it. I have a vested interest in being productive in my garden so obviously I hope MC produces well in my hydro system (based on the NPK I think it'll do good, not great). I think their NPK in hydro could benefit from a bloom booster (mainly more P) but seeing as how I don't use one now, I won't be using one during the comparison. I think the addition of a bloom booster would also negate any 'cost savings' which according to their site is a big selling point for this food. So if I'm not saving money, why deal with the mess and the hassle of dry foods?

My prediction right now (based on their NPK in hydro) is that any cost savings will come at the price of lower than average yields in my garden. Fingers crossed it makes my life super easy and produces really well.

Gotta think big brother...big.
It lasts as long as the plants your growing need it. Can't change that.
It has everything to do with style of growing.
This stuff is by far the best value on the market at present.
Dyna Gro knows it too. That's why the main Mega Crop thread was deleted. Money talks around here.
I've paid for a bunch of these bottle bandits nutes in the past....fuck that anymore. I don't need to raped repeatedly to know it hurts. Dyna Gro know's that Mega Crop is a BIG problem to those who sell water in bottles with some plant food added.
Who needs to experiment...done that...proved Mega Crop is the best so far for me.
Not about to buy somebodies get rich quick nutes are we? Schill^^^^
Let face it these nute companies don't want anyone to know he truth.
I know folks in the business and they laugh at all the fools who buy their water. It's an industry inside joke.
Take a look at farms.....ALL there fertilizers come in dry bags. They wouldn't buy water either.
These fancy bottles are for boutique weed growers seeking the holy grail.
For me Mega Crop is that so far anyway.
Dyna gro water can stay where it belongs...on the over priced shelf. Along with all the other gold in bottles I paid through the nose for. They Can't compete and they know it. So discrediting is the next best thing.
These nute companies know that the end product has big value...they want their piece of that pie.
I am looking to try a different nutrient system I have been using hg for the last two years and I like it but I like the idea of not paying for water. I really like MOAB in my finish so it seem that mixing the rest would be a no brainer as well. My question is though with the MC do you run into any concentration problems in hydro? What I mean is it highly soluble and does it stay in the liquid state well or does it fall out at some point?

I have been using MC 2.0 for a few months now in DTW hydro. I mix up 5 gallon batches at a time and there is minor flakes at the bottom of the bucket once I get through with using it. It seems to be very minor. I do get a slight residue on the bucket walls that wipes off before I refill. All this little extra effort is nothing compared to how well the plants like the MegaCrop.

That is good to hear I used the coupon and then ordered a little more to try as well as some calmag. Buck do you add any nitrogen on top of the MC?

Lol they litterally remade advanced's entire line and quite a bit of house and garden aswell. People assume megacrop is crap. They can litterally chef you up whatever you want. At a fraction of the cost of the big guys

So I don't see this Logic Bloom on the Greenleaf website. I will be trying the MC plant food out in a few weeks, I also ordered some sweet candy. I am wondering if I should have got the logic instead.

I think whats left on ebay is for good, they were doing the sensi line and the conni line a couple years back. But it says in the description "mega crop is the new logic bloom" lol

But id imagine since megacrop is the most recent product it would be better.

Greenleaf mentioned another MegaCrop mix coming again at some point with more Mg. Just a little tweak to the micro nutrients. I am not sure when they plan to release it but if your looking to buy maybe grab enough to get you by for now before dropping in on the Kilo sized bag.

Ya so I basically have a Kilo, that will do a little over one grow give or take. Thanks for the info I will try to remember to repost my results in a couple months.

I just received a Mega Crop prize from @AquaTerra.

2kg of Mega Crop 2.0
1kg of Big Up 0-52-34 for early flower
1kg of Rock Steady 0-0-62 for late bloom
1kg of Carbo. Pure dextrose as far as I can tell. Tastes pretty sweet. :)

Going to use it on a couple of currently growing plants to see what happens but once I have some clones from the same mother in a couple weeks will do a little side-by-side with my usual AN nutes. Will be growing in ProMix HP that has a bit of composted manures, EWC and myco added.

I'm really impressed with all the goodies in the MC and printed out their flyer.

N,P and K are all 1% higher than MC 1.0
Mg up 0.1% from 2.3 - 2.4
S up 0.2% from 1.9 - 2.1
Everything else is the same.

You can print this full page greyscale and it's clear and easy to read. Colour if you want but I only have a monotone laser printer.

MegaCropIngredients.jpg

I ran their calculator for 10L as that's a common measure for me to go by.

Grams per 10L PPM .5

Seedling/small plant 5.29 227

Normal Veg 10.58 555

Long Veg 11.90 625

Bloom Wk 1-2 13.23 695

Week 3-4 14.55 765

Wk5-Harvest 15.87 835

Calculator here. https://greenleafnutrients.com/feeding-calculator

They give away a 300g sample. Link at the top of their pages.

The NPK ratio of 10-7-18 is backwards to what I would normally want in veg at least but seems right for flower so I guess I'll find out how it works soon enough.

Never too old to try new things! Especially when they're free! :D

:peace:

To bad the MC thread is gone. I had pics in it to disprove everything dude is saying about MC and hydro. I've run both versions of MC.Dyna gro can kick rocks. MC for the win! (this is my personal opinion based on fact) carry on!
I have been using megacrop now for my veg and am about 2 weeks away from flower but I am noticing some iron deficiency..I am going to grab some cal mag..but have you or anyone on here noticed that you need to use cal mag with some cultivers?
