Advanced Nutrients Sensi Bloom

Hello All,

I just purchased sensi bloom a and b and will soon be starting to use it. My question is with regards to how much to use?? I am in promix and the calculator online seems to be for hydroponics. I have googled this and read what seems like a hundred threads and everybody seems to have their own take on a starting dosage. I don't want to mess this up so if there is anyone out there who has experience with this product in promix, some advice would be greatly appreciated. I have another question with regards to how much of the solution to pour into the pots. I am in 3 gallon pots and was thinking of using 1 litre per pot because I don't want to get them too wet. I would like to fertilize, water, fertilize, water etc... every 3 days or so with a leaching every so often (any advice on this would be appreciated as well). I am also planning on using big bud as a supplement. Should I cut back on sensi a and b when I add this to the mix? Thanks for all replies in advance.

I use Sensi grow/bloom in dirt and hydro. I used the old calculator (still available for a while). To get the mixture for dirt, I use the size of the watering can (2 gal) as the reservoir size. I did run the new calculator but it seems to be buggy - as it only wants to give me the mix for 95 gal reservoir.
As far as amt - I feed until nutrients run out of the bottom. I feed once a week - water as needed
As to Big Bud - it is included in the calculator
Hope this helps

gud advice. only water when your plants suck up your watering. if you water every three days just cause its been 3 days thats not good. weigh your pot by picking it up when the soil is dry and the pot starts to feel lite then shes thirsty. Make sure to water with enough water that at least 20% runs off. I water 1 gallon to every 3 gallons of soil

Thanks for the replies guys. I did use the calculator, as well as, called the tech support line. He said to feed the same amount in dirt and hydro but a few conversations I read from chat rooms on the net had warnings from ppl saying the recommended dose burned their plants. I am planning on starting conservatively and going with what they consider to be a light feeding schedule and adding from there. So the rate at which I am going to mix it is 4ml per gallon. As long as I don't see any burn and the plants are responding well I will increase the dose by a quarter teaspoon per feeding until I see slight tip burn or I reach the top end of the feeding recommendations. Is this a logical approach??

To the guy who has used sensi bloom a and b, did you have good results? I am switching from miracle grow 15-30-15 and the cost is very different as you can imagine but I was having so many problems with nutrient deficiencies (I think I've had them all!!) and disappointing yields that I think the cost could be worth it. I am willing to give it a shot anyway. Is my starting dose acceptable? Is it roughly what you did? Any info at all is appreciated, I am still learning and I do a ton of reading I'm just trying to make sure I'm doing all the right things...

Anyone who has a sensi bloom a and b feeding schedule combined with big bud that worked for them in promix if you could post it up that would be a huge help!! Thanks!!

advanced will shit all over miricle grow. I wouldnt say its the best nutrient though house and garden is pretty damn gud. also age old gold. about the feeding tell you see chemicle burn I wouldnt do that.

Well I don't want nutrient burn but I do want to feed the plant as much as it can handle to optimize my results. Any other opinions? I'm sure there are lots of people on this site that use advanced sensi bloom a and b.. Am I posting this in the right section???

Iv used the whole damn line up and it was great. also cost about 500 bucks. The more nutrient you use doesnt mean shit if your using good soil. I would be trying to feed it as less as I could get away with.

When I've used Sensi A&B in the past, I've definitely noticed a difference, even over the Grow-Micro-Bloom from AN. The nutes seem to amp up the end harvest and they seem to work really well with anything else I might add on - Voodoo Juice, Bud Candy, etc.

If you're growing in soil, you need to keep in mind that the soil acts as a buffer, so some people suggest using more nutes than are directed on the packages. Of course, then you run the risk of nute burn, so this is a tricky proposition. I think slowly adding more nutes is the most sensible way to tackle this.

Yes, you can use AN in both soil and hydro, though it's (IMHO) better suited for hydro. I would suggest following what the AN guys told you, but watch the plants carefully to make sure things aren't going south. While you might not see any dramatic changes in your plants at first, trust me, the end result of using Sensi is totally worth the price.

And if you're being careful with using it, you don't have to use up as much as the bottle might say. Well, I never do. In the long run, I think it saves me money since I don't have to buy as much.

Most plants don't need to be overnuted - well, none of them, actually. Go easy and watch what happens. In the next grow, add a little more if you didn't have any problems, see what happens, etc.

Too many growers base the only experience they will ever have with their plants on one good or one bad experience. The truth is that it takes multiple grows to really see how a nute works.

Good luck!
