Hello everyone, I want to know what nutes from Advanced Nutrients are the best that you guys like to use. I used FF nutrients last year, but I only liked the nutrients for the vegetative stage.

I've heard good things about Advances Nutrients!

The main reason why I stopped using Fox Farm nutrients was because there was no calcium in them so I switched to Sensi Grow/Bloom so I didn't have to buy a cal mag supplement... Last year I used Sensi Grow, Liquid Karma, Great White, and Superthrive for veg and for flowering I used Sensi Bloom, Sensizym, Bud Candy, Liquid Karma, and Great White(weeks 1 and 2) all fresh water and nutrients were given to plants with a pH of 6.3... The only thing from Fox Farm I used was Ocean Forest amended with Dr. Earth soil amendments

Hi there I've been using advanced for awhile with alot of there additives. I've grown mostly DWC and soil. The only additives worth a shit are pirhana, voodoo juice, big bud, bud candy, overdrive, bud ignitor. You can replace bud candy with carboload if your using the benes.

Big bud and over drive are needed to formulate the base NPK ratios. use these products.

I find the sensizyme, nirvana, bud factor X, tarantula, rhino skin do nothing in side by side comparisons of the products. While I won't dis credit these products the add no npk values to thier base and will increase your costs alot.

B-52 with the extra N seems to veg plants darker green and a bit less stretchy. It's expensive and I don't use it anymore but the base sensi grow does lack some N.
Bud Ignitor falls in the same boat with B52 It adds more N and K for first 2 weeks for flowering and limits stretching and does increase resin production from my side by side comparisons. The sensi bloom lacks some K as well and the boost is noticed. I continue to use the bud ignitor the extra N makes up for the lack of not using b52 in veg. Also only used in first 2 weeks of flowering makes it affordable additive.

As far as voodoo juice, pirhana it's expensive but worth it roots will increase mass and yield. I've switch to GH subculture M and B. You can use great white or orca or other products that do the same thing.

I'm really interested on the big bud, bud candy and overdrive. How do you use them? Do you mix them? Use one for a period and then switch to another one?

One more question. What do you use for the vegetative stage?

Thanks for the help!

I use them as directed big bud weeks 2-5 I think then switch to overdrive last 2 weeks before flush. I use sensi bloom @ 8mil per gallon and 4mil per gallon for additives. That gives me about 950ppm, Can go up to 12mil per gallon in late flower on base.

The Bud Candy is more for feeding your benes if using voodoo juice. Bud Candy does have some vitamin B and other stuff besides carbs so I use it over carboload because I don't use B52.

If your using piranha and voodoo juice I use them at 4mil per gallon first 2 weeks till their established in the roots then I start bud candy to keep that colony alive and multiplying save cost on using more voodoo juice/piranha. carboload is cheaper than bud candy and does same thing.

I veg with voodoo juice, piranha, sensi grow A+b, tap water. I don't use cal mag cause I use tap water. So my plants are a bit light green, the B52 fixed this but so would calmag plus if you were using RO water. Here's some plants I just started using this system 3 weeks veg in DWC on day 13 of flower now with big bud, bud ignitor.

I am a budget grower, so I cant afford allot of the advanced nutrients. Here's what I use in soil and can speak for:

Iguana Juice Bloom (dont use the any veg nutrients ffof) - This stuff is rich in all sorts of good organics. I find that it doesn't burn plants easily, and keeps everything dark green and healthy.

Bud Candy- I use it week 1-6 of flowering. Makes things nice and frosty. Start at 1ml first weeks of flower and gradually bump up to full 2ml per liter. I like the results I have with this over molasses.

Big Bud- My favorite. Does what it says. Use this only in specified weeks.

Overdrive- Applied in the final weeks before flushing. Keeps fueling the flower growth.

Pretty much sums it up right here.....I am going to switch back to Sensi Bloom. I noticed my plants stay green the entire grow when using Sensi bloom, but after switching to Connoisseur I notice Calcium issues and yellowing

Save your money and buy something cheaper. AN is a ripoff and way overpriced for what you get.

http://www.advancednutrients.com/hydroponics/products/kushie_kush/kushie_kush_product_information.php

Kushie Kush...seriously? They have 3 pages of hype and marketing saying all the work they put in to it:

"Advanced scientists learned the precise combinations of phosphorus, potassium, amino acids, co-factors, metabolic triggers and other substances that feed Kush exactly what it needs so it far exceeds its genetic potential."

"Using Kushie Kush[SUP]™[/SUP], you get gooey, glistening, resin-dripping, weighty, tight, dense, sticky Kush buds."

"And you bet you'll feel your medical problems very quickly recede when you've inhaled your tasty bowl of custom-fed Kush medicine."

"Better yet, you're guaranteed at least 1 7 .7 3 % increase in bud weight, you'll be glad you use Kushie Kush to unleash your kush plants full genetic potential."

17.73%, that is pretty damn specific.

Then you click on the guaranteed analysis and it shows an NPK of 1-3-8 and nothing else listed in the bottle.

I agree...I am a huge fan of FloraNova Grow and Bloom... I Use floranova grow for my veg cycle only! For Flowering, I use FloraNova Bloom and Bud Candy. I'll put each nute in its own gallon of distilled water and at watering time, i fill my water can with half of each...Just started doing this on my current grow and let me tell you how crystally my buds are. I always used floranova bloom but now that I added Bud Candy...my nugs are frostiest ever!!!! ITs unbelieveable how much crystals are on my plants now. The addition of bud candy was prob. the best thing I have done as far as flowering...check the pics...159.jpeg158.jpeg154.jpeg151.jpeg143.jpeg124.jpeg

I'm not sure why people knock advanced nutrients. I've used other "cheaper" nutes by schedule and had fair to poor results. I was disappointed with my crops. Once I switched to AN my crops are pro quality. yes AN has alot of additives but so do the other 20 nute company's on the market. I've weeded through what I felt was over kill. It's hard to knock the result of there NPK ratios cause every plant I grow with AN reaches its maximum potential. If you don't believe that they research NPK ratios look into hammerhead.

And as a company they have the best customer support. You can really call them, send them pics of plants, or whatever and they will walk you through with exactly how much to use with whatever your setup is. For a new grower thier support system is great!
