Right...:finger:

Had a bit of a nightmare recently - over feeding: I want to get it right next time so popped down me shop and purchased an EC reader.

Now then.... Im currently using AN Sensi A+B, Big Bud and B52 as stated for week 6 in the AN Nutrient Calculator for a 10 week flower for beginner, with a ppm of 1080 and an EC of 0.98.

So popped in the new EC, I nearly white-deathed when it peaked at 3.1!!

Granted I had only been using the calculators instructions the 4mls and the 2mls per litre but this seemed 3x too high!

Called the guy at my shop and he rekons all companies do it - they want you to buy as much nutes as poss!

So this leads on to my question....

I know all stains are different, and have dif nutes needs but if you have experience with advanced nutes what EC's do you run....0.98 seems low?:?:

I have been reading anything from 0.98-2.4...... and a dummy-guide advised pros would venture to 2.8?:?

Help! Ta!

what is your EC of your tap water. I think 0.98 is kind of mild but I do not have experience with AN

Hi Dr. G..... hope its all smoky at your end.... er.... prime tap water fresh off the dales.... no RO but considering...no filter...... Yeah i will never use full strength again...... its a shame tho.. how most bottles tell you to chuck more in when you shouldn't really.... all beginner guides point to ph reader first and not ec.... so for people like me who follow it to the T get f'd-up... Disapointed with Company website and "shops" as they just want to sell you more... sticking to the forums now! ..... So back to my EC any ideas?

First of all - good job on getting an EC reader. Smartest move I've ever made - or the best investment I've made.

I would only suggest that you need to use less nutrients in your next growing round - that's what I always do, anyway. It keeps things from getting out of whack. Though it's always a good idea to check up on yoru water source and how it's impacting your grow.
