Advance Nutrients help

i am looking into possibly buying AN so far i got voodoo juice to help my grows but i also want to look into other nutrient lines as well. i am totally confused about AN line though. they have so many things and im not really sure what they all do or when to really use them. can someone dumb it down for me?

im not looking at the gorilla line with the Micro, grow, bloom. im looking at like the bud candy, sensi grow, sensi bloom, conessure, etc..

also another question; would you recommend these for a novice grower? im on my 3rd grow still have a bunch of fox farm big bloom and grow big

I would not use them

Worse they've been in trouble for their labels not matching what was in the bottles. Plenty of other less hyped companies out there whose owners have not had pedophilia issues

I started using General Hydroponics three part Flora series line on my first grow in 1996. I moved away to Dyna Gro (love their Foliage Pro) but had precipitation issues with their Bloom and it was no better than my GH Flora series. I alsp prefer GH's CaliMagic for their very good ratio of Ca:Mg. The only other thing I use is Silica and I've used several different lines. Botanicare's had Fe, DynaGro's Protekt precipitated.

yea i've kinda heard bad stuff relating to their product voodoo juice growing mold and shit thus i was hesitant to even buy it. i checked experiation date though so i will see when i open it next weekend. also heard a lot of bad stuff about their customer service not adhering to their "guarantee money back" bs due to bad products.

so what would you recommend i try? i mean i can still stick with fox farm but i've been using it for the past 2 grows now 2nd grow looks good but still not where i want it to be at. given i did fuck it up. im also thinking of testing out Pro Mix which i read is a soiless medium im currently using soil and i think if i swap to a soiless medium my plants would slightly do better root wise idk.

There are so many ways to grow this stuff. I grow hydro so I can only speculate about soil. But nutrients are nutrients if they are honest about what they sell in their bottles most of them are good.

I'm happy with GH Flora series and their company has been around a very long time. I'm sure other soil growers will be along to chime in. There's a learning curve with hydro growing too.

yea i dont grow in hydro looks cool buy my dad does via aquaponics so we can't really use nutrients in it the nutrients we get is off the fish waste and worm castings as i added worms in the grow bed suprisingly they are thriving.

i mean i can stick with fox farm saves me money in the end so i mean it's not a big deal really. shit will probably last me until end of next year. the big bloom is almost gone though maybe i will try and swap over mediums for now save money that way and continue to use fox farm until it dries up.

I think the base nutrients of advanced is a 3 part, micro, grow and bloom. Where you add micro all through with grow then switch to bloom. Then you have various tiers to sucker in the ego. More bottles the bigger the ego!!

It will all grow but you don't need anything outside a good base nutrient.
Pick a simple two part base nutrient and forget about wasting lots of money.
Expensive bottles don't improve your yields, keeping things simple and plants healthy and environment in check will do far more for the quality and quantity of your buds.
Less is usually more and many new folks fall into the trap of thinking adding more than recommended will get you bigger or better buds but it doesn't, usually using less than recommended results in a far healthier plant.

yea but they seem to have 2 different lines of that. 3 actually. 1. the gorilla one ( has a pic of a gorilla on it it's 3 parts ) 2. Sensi grow and bloom ( 2 parts i read on their website this is just a mix of all the other shit they are selling into 2 forumla's ) 3. conessure ( idk what this one is but a lot of people label it for "advanced growers" )

i am also debating this because im trying to move solely to organics only. think the voodoo juice isn't organic though.

i'll just try to swap mediums for now and see where that leads with the voodoo juice. rather not spend shit load of money on nutrients maybe focus more on how to improve my grows/conditions without relying on expensive shit that may or may not fix my skill level of growing

Simple one part nutrients are all you need. The multi bottle horseshit is designed to drain your wallet more than anything.

I am not a fan of Advanced. I am using sensi PH perfect grow and bloom. It is quite a bit more than GH trio and MEga Crop and the other powders are a lot better priced.

The AN is working well it is just that you can do it a lot cheaper. And if you do used it i dont think you need 4ml per litre. I currently use 50ml per 20 litres and the girls are perfect. at 60 i got burnt tips.
Grow A and B 50ml each (after they start growing).
Bloom A and B 50ml each (after they flower).

If you don't know what the stuff does and can't figure it out then get something that grows just good of pot, costs less, and is easy to use. There are plenty of products out there that are just as good and cost much less than AN. Plus you're not mixing up a dozen bottles of this and that with eyedroppers and such. Stick to a one, two, or three part nutrient and forget all the amendments.

If you do end up going with AN dont buy anything other than the base nutes. I use the micro grow bloom and a different brand silica instead of the over priced rhino skin. I pay €40 for a liter each of the mgb and it lasts me 2 grows since i only do 4 plants at a time so I dont consider that expensive.

Im very intetested in trying mega crop but the shipping is just as much as the nutes since im in europe but might give it a try next run.

I found that got pretty hot. It grew fast and big but crispy

I haven't experienced any negative effects yet, but have also only grown 1 crop so far

Im in FFOF, which is also considered hot, these girls been in ffof since germination, so maybe they toughened up from an early age lol

well def keep an eye out tho, thanks

to add to the above,

i have also been ramping up to 8ml, began at 2ml/g...then 5ml/g etc

so maybe that could have also helped with the hotness?

So not the true Lucas formula i guess, a variation of it lol

havent had much issues with ffoc myself in my first grow. it did feel hot compared to my roots organic but other then that only issue i don't really use it anymore is just moisture. roots organic seems to hold less moisture for me i think it's just the high ass humidity i get naturally which is typically in the 80's. thus why im kinda still debating on medium i have 3 options. so far the roots organics im loving it but im constantly seeing fungus gnat issues using it. they eventually go away cause i fix it but with ffoc i don't deal with that shit. i might swap back to ffoc to see how my plants fair this go round with a full indoor grow

I mix my ffof with approx 30-40% perilite

It def helps with drainage and helping soil dry out faster

i ramp my shit full blast XD as directed on the bottles. this grow im going to start off 1/2 strength keep it that way though. im using an off brand flowering nutrient though aurora soulbloom i think its called. waiting for results but then again my flowering plants are outside but first time ever feeding them nutrients in flowering phase. so far they seem really nice the bud sites compared to my last grow
