This is my second grow (half grow actually). this past tuesday a buddy of mine sold me his mature northern lights plants, about a week into flower already. They were topped to make 4 colas.

as of right now they are in 2 gallon grow bags, maybe three gal, not too sure. Before I got them they were just watered with plain ph'd tap water with fox farm OF. The day after I got them I gave them 2 tsp of big bloom and a half tsp of tiger bloom with a drop or two of superthrive.

The light I am using is a 400w digital greenhouse, which, crapped out on me after about 3 weeks of having it brand new. But I sent it back to htg and got a replacement a few days later and it has been going strong since.

For exhaust and intake I have a 150cfm inline fan mounted on top of my grow box. Passive intake with a 6x6in square at the bottom of the box. The dimensions of my box that i built is 4ftx3.5ftx6ft.

Better pics to come

Watered with ph'd distiled on sat. 9/11. gave 4 tsp Big bloom and 1 tsp tigerbloom. starting to show some stretch so I lowered the lights about 6in. cant go much lower without sacrificing light to the outter plants.

Starting to see some of the older leaves turn yellow. Based on the fact that prior to my ownership they received 0 nutes in FFOF. And since I havent fed any grow big I assume it is a nitrogen deficiency.

Just looking for a little feedback; is it important to address the nitrogen problem 2 weeks going on 3 weeks into flowering? or should i add a little supplementary N in there for them?

I dont think I am overwatering. Every 2-3 days and about 1/3 gal each plant. they are in 2 gal grow bags I think.

FF recommends a couple of tsp's of grow big at weeks 7 and 8 (i think). That's probably about were you are with these plants. That's what I'd do. Easy with the tiger bloom, and lay the big bloom to their asses. I don't think BB can hurt a fly if overused, but it has some good shit in it (bat shit at that). I've got a gorgeous Crystal Rain plant that I wish to fuck I could just give away to a deserving home. She's got a good two weeks of flower on her. Gotta make room and one of the three ladies has to go tomorrow (sigh). Fuck selling the plant, I just wish I knew someone that could bring her to her full potential. Boy someone is really missing out on this one!

By the way, your water schedule and amount sound perfect to me. Water every other day and nute every other watering. That is the FF way. That's what I give these kids of mine (about 1/3 gallon per plant).

I am growing NL right now with FFOF soil and using FF ferts. You are over feeding them! Give them 50% ferts! Check my grow in my signature, the NL that I am growing don't like anything over 50% of the recomended FF ferts. Some strains can take more but in my "limited experiance" NL likes 50% of the recomended FF ferts in the FF soil.

Spot on Howard. That's the way I've done it. My plants now seem to like more than the recommended feeding of FF nutes. I think a good safe way though is to start out at 1/4 strength and work your way up to whatever the plants will tolerate. My God they are healthy, and growing me out of house and home (or grow space). My mixture of MG soils seems to have been the bomb and cost way less than the FF lineup, so don't be afraid to experiment with soils. I would just make sure that it's sterilized. I used 1/3 each of MG shit: 1 bag of MG organic, 1 bag of MG seed starter and 1 bag of MG perlite. Probably cost me 1/3 of what FF soil would have cost me. Your mileage may vary, but I've never had one single problem with my current grow. I think my next grow, I'll attempt to abolish the myth of MG nutes being shit.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Howard, I thought I was taking it pretty easy on the tiger bloom. on the bottle, for a heavy feeding, give 4 tbls, im giving roughly a 1/12 of that right now at 1 tsp a gal. But from my previous grow I did come to the conclusion of, use less TB!

Dan, thanks for the heads up about Big bloom and the couple of tsp of grow big at week 7-8. Today i just watered with distilled, but next go around I'll take ur word on the BB and GB.

I also recently bought some snow storm ultra from my local shop that I will be trying out on the next feeding, along with cal/mag.

Again, thanks for the feedback!

So I think I'm gonna repot tomorrow. These grow bag are alright, but I think they should have a little more space for root growth. I plan in just cutting the bag down the side and just putting the whole chunk of soil and root into a 5 gal container. Or just cutting the bottom off the bottom of the bag and put the whole thing in there.

Alright, day 20 of flowering. I'm starting to get a little leaf curl at the tips. they are curling down and to the side. I'm assuming its from being rootbound in my growbags. These symptoms sound correct?

Last watering on 9/18 was distilled water. Tomorrow I will be giving them the normal feed chems plus im gonna give a little splash of grow big for a little nitrogen. I also plan on starting to use snow storm utra on 3 of the girls, so we'll see how that goes.

Sorry for the lack of photos, I lost me digi camera and my camera phone quit working many moons ago.

Day 21 Flowering

Fed them today with 7tsp BB, 1 tsp TB, 1tsp cal/mag, and half a tsp of snow storm ultra. I had a few leaves on two plants that had some yellow leaves with the edges curled up a little bit. Time too look up whatever the hell caused that.

Stayed out last night and when i got back this afternoon my growroom was 82 degrees and my window ac unit was frozen up. I looked in my cabinet and the temps were up to 86. Just thawed out the ac and about to turn that bitch back on. Hopefuly no real damage was done.

Today they got 8 tsp BB, 1 tsp grow big, 1 tsp cal/mag, 1 tsp snow storm. Left out the tiger bloom this time. sorry for absence of pictures, no camera and my phone camera quit working 2 months after i got the damn thing, but they are looking pretty tasty. roughly 3 weeks 3 days in flower

plain distiled water today. Some bottom leaves are still yellowing but at almost halfway through flower that should be natural at this point. On one of my plants I have been noticing all its leaves are slightly lighter colored than the other 5 plants. all plants are getting the same ammount off nutes and fresh water. This sound like anything I should be concerned about? other than that she looks gravy.
Also I would like to add, I was a little skeptical about using the grow bas at first, but thats what they came in so I didnt argue. But they have impressed me. One thing that they are pretty handy with is that you can judge when to water with them by doing the weight test. Might not be the best method but its working so far.

PICTURESSS...taken from my macbook, but pictures nonetheless.
